No Tomato Soup. I wanted tomato soup and salad so we went to Sweet Tomatoes. When I used to frequent this restaurant, they always had tomato soup. Well those times are over – they do not have tomato soup there anymore. When I asked the person behind the counter if I could express my opinion on this the manager didn’t seem to care. I don’t care if I ever go back to Sweet Tomatoes either.

Almost all negative commentake are old. Been there several times in 2014 and it is like a new place. Food is fresh and tasty and service is friendly.

I have eaten at Sweet Tomatoes for at least 20 years in Ca & Az. My family loves it. The one on Bell in Phoenix sucks. I have eaten here 2 times. Never never again. The salad I am used to making does not even taste close to what I have had for 20 years! Corporate- something is wrong!!

Field Kitchen FAIL!!. The card system is so annoying!!! Everywhere you go to get food your faced with a big glass barrier that you have to ask somebody to give you a serving of what you want (after they swipe your card that is). Its weird and uncomfortable. Who came up with that idea!?! Hahaha, it made me feel like I was in kindergarten again asking for food! When I go to a restaurant it’s for comfort and ease. Seriously, this restaurant is not comforting at all. ….. P.S. Plus, I don’t like eating my salad out of a big steel bowl. Booo : (

Big disappointment. I love the original Sweet Tomatoes, so I was already disapointed that they changed it but decided to give field kitchen a chance. It was terrible. The whole process was confusing and took much longer. I tried the salad bar choice and my boyfriend chose the hot food option. He had his food a good 10 minutes before I was back to the table and it wasn’t even the right entree he had ordered. I got one bowl of salad and one cup of macaroni. You have to wait for someone to give you salad dressing even if you make your own salad and it’s just a mess. A worker was helping the two girls in front of me, and then a second worker walked up and started helping the husband and wife behind me. Somehow I got missed and ending up waiting quite a while just for someone to give me a cup of salad dressing. And if I had wanted to add extras like chicken or avocado I would have had to wait in yet another line. I never even got a drink because that would have been yet another line to wait in and since my boyfriend had already been waiting all this time with his food getting cold I didn’t feel like wasting more time standing in line. And it was actually more expensive than it would have been if both of us had ordered the all you can eat at the original sweet tomatoes. The whole pay system is odd too. They give you a card you have to swipe at each of these stations to get your food. Each person has their own card so you couldnt even get a drink for someone else in your party. And if you lose your card, you will be charged $50. The whole experience was a huge dissapointment and I will NOT be back. I will drive 20 minutes out of my way to go to the old Sweet Tomatoes by Metrocenter. I just hope they doing ruin that one anytime soon.

Field Kitchen in Peoria. Heads should roll in the corporate office after this mess they’ve turned the Sweet Tomatoes restaurant into…from the moment you walk in the door you are faced with so many choices….The stupid card they give you so that you can run around to all the stations and have things added to it. Sweet Tomatoes has a good product…always has…but all this is unneccessary and confusing. Gone are the delicious little seasonal muffins, the toppings for your sundaes, the french bread, fresh fruit in the dessert area. What they have added does not improve what was an already good restaurant. Some of the decor additions are nice, but the stupid high top table for 8 to 10 people looks out of place in an area of Metro Phoenix that caters to senior citizens. From past experience most of the large tables were occupied by families with small children. Wouldn’t want to put them at a high top for fear they would fall. We may try it again…but not for a long time…Some young exec thought he’d try to make some changes…he just bombed in a big way!!! Shame on Sweet Tomatoes for ruining a very good restaurant!
