Sweet Tomatoes is a salad buffet cafeteria with beer and wine. They serve salads, raw vegetables, pasta, soup, potatoes, muffins, focaccia, pasta and soft serve. This location is mostly all booths. I started by getting my tray and plates. All the trays were dirty and all the plates were hot. I grabbed a variety of vegetables and salads as I walked threw the cafeteria line. The raw beets were hard and dried up and the cooked beets might have been old. Blue cheese felt waxy and wasn’t creamy. Some sort of carrot salad was so sharp with vinegar it hurt my mouth. The tuna pasta salad looked good but didn’t taste good. You should pick too kinds of dressing and put them on the side because some are ok and some like the Italian taste awful and you will make your salad taste worst. Take two big plates on your tray because you won’t like everything. I SCREAMED when I tasted the sugar free chocolate mousse. IT DOESN’T TASTE LIKE FOOD! It’s just a mix of chemicals. Reminded me of a mouthful of saccharine. Then I hit the hot buffet. I made a small plate of a baked potato, mac-n-cheese, pesto pasta and a focaccia. The potato was good but I made the mistake of putting their cheap fake cheese on the potato that didn’t melt. Then I ruined the potato. The pesto pasta had a nice flavor but was very gooey and oily. Mac-n-cheese was not cheesy tasting. (guess the cheese couldn’t melt into it) The focaccia tasted like dry white toast with a little tasteless sauce and cheese. the vanilla soft serve is edible but became non-edible is you try the waxy rainbow jimmies.

No Tomato Soup. I wanted tomato soup and salad so we went to Sweet Tomatoes. When I used to frequent this restaurant, they always had tomato soup. Well those times are over – they do not have tomato soup there anymore. When I asked the person behind the counter if I could express my opinion on this the manager didn’t seem to care. I don’t care if I ever go back to Sweet Tomatoes either.
