Just visited the haymaker for the first time today. Had the Reuben sandwich and Caesar salad. The sandwich was good and the Caesar salad dressing was good too. Also ordered the bread pudding which was fantastic. Would definitely have that again. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice. Got there just after their 1030 cut off time for breakfast, but the chef made breakfast for my husband anyway. We appreciated that. The prices are a bit on the high-end. The drinks were too expensive. Three dollars for ice tea is too much. Next time we just won’t get drinks.
Budget American Grub. This place just opened so I thought I’d give them a try. I noticed it was filled with mostly young families with lots of children. They have a breakfast menu and a basic lunch/dinner menu. My husband tried a burger and I tried a French Dip. The burger was OK and better than I thought it would be but the French Dip beef was kind of tuff the day I was there. They do 1/2 sandwiches with soup or salad too.
