The Twisted Italian was established in 2010 and Changed Ownership and Menu in Late 2015. This is a small locally owned restaurant that serves both traditional Italian Foods and some very NON TRADITIONAL Italian Foods. We started with the PIEROGI (yes I said pierogi) of the month and it was corned beef and cabbage. (that’s twisted isn’t it) The pierogi were crispy and were stuffed with a mixture of creamy mashed potato mixed with flavorful corned beef and a little cabbage. It was surprisingly tasty. For dinner I tried the European Sea Bass. I received a large portion o tender meaty mild fish that was seasoned just so with crispy skin. Fresh asparagus, grilled tomato and lemony angel hair completed the plate. My husband tried the Italian Relleno. It was a Poblano Pepper that was stuffed with house made Italian Sausage and cheese. His platter came with big cheese filled fried ravioli and a creamy tomato sauce. We thought the food was tasty, prices were reasonable and service was efficient.

Another wonderful meal!. Every chance we get we find ourselves back at this restaurant. It’s clearly not just by chance. We have not had a bad meal in or 20+ visits. Recently we also took my Italian parents that couldn’t get over how good the food was and how reasonable the prices are. And the calamare is absolutely delicious! Do yourself a favor and give it a try – you won’t be disappointed.22 Feb, 2014Always good food and service. We found this restaurant over a year ago when we moved to North Peoria. We’ve always enjoyed our meals and love talking to the owner. We’ve taken friends and family and they all loved it. We will be patrons for years to come.
