Excellent/favorite. This is my favorite diner in all of Phoenix. It has the home style feel and home style cooking. You could eat only here and feel as if someone who loves you is cooking for you! The service is great, love Sheri, she is great and the owner really cares!
Dont pass this one up!. Youll enjoy some great cooking here at a fair price. Big menu with most anything youd like. I always enjoy breakfast from their special low priced meals on the #1 to #5 on the white board above the cooler. Yes those prices are terrific and so are the meals. Simply the BEST service in town keeping your coffee and iced tea filled. Youll find this place busy; however the food is so good it keeps people coming back for more. My favorite breakfast is the #5 Denver scrambled or simply the #1 with eggs and hash browns and toast.
Great Mom & Pop Cafe style food. Hubby had traditional chicken fried steak, eggs (cooked perfectly), hash browns all smothered w/sausage gravy with strong coffee and he ate every crumb. I had a jack, mushroom & avacado omelette that was light and fluffy and took 3/4 home. This is a local & working man’s kinda place where the waitresses really did know your name and although the imprint of the place was small, they were hopping, the cooks spun the food out and the tables were turning. This is the kind of place I grew up working with my Mom and we’ll be back for sure!
As always, the food is amazing and the service is friendly and make you feel welcome. I used to come here with my parents 20 years ago and not much has changed
Good Breakfast Joint…. We had breakfast at the 40th Street Caf today around 11am and boy was it packed wall to wall with people, which is a good sign. We had to add our name to a wait list, but it only took about 10 minutes to get a table. Busy little down-home caf with a friendly staff and good eats! My wife Lolis had the Chorizo and Eggs with Hash browns and I had Biscuits & Gravy with a side of Sausage and Hash browns. It was pretty good. No complaints here and we will definitely come back again.
You’re family here. It’s not just the yummy, filling food or blisteringly efficient (and sassy if you think you can handle it) service that will make you want to come back for more. You’ll think your mom or big sis is waiting on you and you better mind your manners and clean your plate. I didn’t realize how much I missed a dining experience to go along with great food. Come hungry, leave happy and humble.
Great service, nice people.. Food was more than satisfactory, the service was outstanding. we will be back.
