This place is 100% American Mexican food.. I was hoping for traditional Mexican food. I ordered the sour cream enchiladas. I got green chili enchiladas with a dollop of sour cream, not the same thing.20 Apr, 2015They serve you a green chile enchilada plate with a dollop of sour cream… Not the real thing, definitely gringo Mexican food. I will NOT order this again

I really have a hard time understanding the negative comments regarding this fun little (well really not little at all) place. Yes it has a strong local following. Yes it is a very popular watering hole. However they serve some really fine food! I am guessing that the complainers did not know what to order or that their idea of Mexican food is well, different. The food is terrific, the staff go out of their way to take good care of you. The happy hour and music on Friday nights is a blast. Best Palapa Bar ever! Hand tossed Marg’s among the very best in town. I see an amazing number of repeat guests at the Point Hilton who make a stop a Aunt Chiladas a required portion of their vacations every year. When you are ready for a chill evening sitting outside head here order a drink and ask for suggestions from your server!!!

I am from out of town but went here with local friends. We all liked (but not necessarily loved) our food and the pitchers of margaritas were awesome. I ordered the tacos carnitas de Jesus. The flavor was good but some of the meat was a little dry; or definitely had better carnitas, but this wasn’t bad. We had dinner for five an two pitchers of margaritas and got out of there for less than $130. The patio seating was perfect. I’d recommend for a cheap night out with friends.

    Horrible tasteless food! Stay away!!!

If you are under 50 or looking for good mexican food stay away from this place. The rice is awful, the food is super gringo and draws in mostly tourists and geezers with no taste buds. They changed their menu recently but still offer the same old drab food. If you like that kind of grub just go to taco bell and save yourself some money.

Great food, yummy margaritas, fun atmosphere, friendly staff! We make sure to eat here everytime we stay in Phoenix. Everything I have ever ordered was delicious- appetizers to entrees.
