My friend and I had lunch at Babbo recently and was very pleasantly surprised. My friend’s sausage sandwich was chockful of delicious ingredients on focaccia and my penne rustica was very nicely seasoned with a tomato sauce laced with ricotta. Usually my biggest complaint in Italian restaurants is the tomato paste sauces. The sauce at Babbo seemed to be pure tomato and fresh tasting. Being Italian American I tend to critique Italian cuisine so I will return to Babbo to enjoy another lunch. Also, our server whose name I think was Abby was outstanding!

Nice Suprise. We recently did our traditional Labor Day stay at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak & were in the mood for italian, a great choice for Babbo. The Beet & grilled brussel sprout salad was nicely balanced & a departure from attempts at other establishments. Good service by the staff & management, we felt welcome, left full & will try the Cave Creek location near us.
The food was great but I would question the price rating. ($). $50 for two pizzas and a salad to go. Ouch!
Good stuff. Good neighborhood type place. Asparagus and mushrooms to start out with. Sauce was really good. Chicken cacciatore for entree. The chicken was breast meat. Would have preferred chicken on the bone, but kind of nit picking at this point.Would go back again.
Babbo Rules!. Quality Service, Awesome Food, Great Location..I love this place and would eat the entire menu if I could…and no I dont work there 🙂
