A great little joint located in the Ahwatukee district of Phoenix on Elliot rd just west of 48th. OnThis Wednesday morning, which was busy, but with no waiting. Service was very nice, the menu is a large panel with breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. This visit was for breakfast, a wide variety for everyone’s liking. I went with the South Mountain Scramble, which is an open face biscuit, two eggs with ham scrambled topped with country gravy, and choice of grits, hash browns, or potatoes, with onion and pepper. The biscuit sold me, the hash browns crisp, and a full pot of coffee for the table. I can imagine this is a neighborhood gathering on the weekends, I enjoyed it.
Our first morning in Arizona we tried this place and knocked it out of the park. Service was outstanding as no matter which server we had they were very attentive. Food was of excellent quality and cooked to order. Everyone was friendly our overall experience here was outstanding and we would highly recommend it for breakfast or lunch.
Breakfast from Tempe Girl. My husband and tried his place last Sunday. Now mind you my husband is a big burly type guy, nothing giddy about his personality. But let me tell you he was all Giddy as he was reading the menu. It excited him. He wants to go back!!! I had biscuits and Gravy (I was skeptical being a southern girl) but it was really good. Big fluffy biscuits and it filled me up. I couldn’t finish it My husband had the big breakfast, eggs, sausage patties, hash browns, biscuits and gravy on the side. The Hash browns were perfect, crispy on the outside and done on the inside. Eggs were perfectly cooked over medium. I am taking my son and daughter in law there for lunch. 🙂 excited to try something else. OH and the staff is AWESOME!!!
Very good breakfast. Tried Biscuits because of the reviews, and they were spot on. Very good and friendly service that was also quick. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The others in the group felt the ham with their meals was the best they have had at any restaurant so far. All of us loved our breakfasts’. Would definitely return.
Great food. I love this place. Friendly staff, wonderful home cooked meals.. I have so many favorites, so I have to go weekly!!!
Good food, yet go when you have time to kill…. Highly recommend their biscuits (haven’t tried them w/gravy), eggs benedict and breakfast potatoes! Service fluctuates on who you get as your server. Plan on waiting in line when you go, we have averaged a 15 minute minimum wait EVERY time we go. Entrance to place on the West side is awkward…why not through the front doors facing Elliot, right!
This is the first review I have ever done. We found this place on accident. The prices are more then the average diner, however the customer service is amazing! The food was brought out very quickly after placing the order. The atmosphere was welcoming, the food was good, and again the customer service was amazing! I will definitely go back to this restaurant!!!
