Fantastic Meal. My husband and I have lived close to Cafe Boa for over 10 years and had never tried the restaurant. OMG, it was fantastic! We ordered off the specials (Osso Bucco and Beef Mendelian)s and it was amazing. My husband said the meat fell off the bone (he had the Osso). and my dish was made perfectly. The restaurant is a bit pricey (but to be honest, we did not inquire as to the price of the specials so the main menu may be less expensive), but worth it. This restaurant reminds me of non-chain, local restaurants you find in larger cities.
Great Date Restaurant!. Caffe Boa has amazing food, the best patio in Ahwatukee and really good live music every weekend. I guess I would call it continental cuisine. The bartenders really know how to make a good martini. On my first visit to Caffe Boa I proposed to my wife by the fountain. The owner brought us a complimentary mini bottle of champainge. Very cool…
Sad to see Mesa Location Close. This place is great. Happy hour is quite the deal. It is on the expensive side if you are dine outside happy hour. Love the wine selection! I wish the Mesa Location was still open but too much competition with DVine. DVine is very similar (in terms of wine selection) and has more reasonable priced menu items.
Great place. Last week, I ordered their Scallop Pasta with red sauce….it was great. Scallops were huge and cooked perfectly, not overdone which can be hard to do. I asked for asparagus added to the dish, they did so but just a handful of small pieces. We also ordered bruschetta; good but not great. A little too much balsamic vinegar taste and bread should be crisper but ours was on the soft/mushy side. Yet we ate it all!Our waiter was awesome….unbelievable service. He was there when we needed him yet wasn’t in our face. All in all, a definite good restaurant in a romantic, cozy atmosphere.
Good…. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was all good too. Overall I suggest checkin’ it out!
Don’t bother. Went to Cafe BOA last night after reading all the great reviews. Right from the beginning we had issues as the bartender was more interested in watching basketball then serving. We got the antipasto for an appetizer. Have had better. We tried to get the bartender’s attention to order dinner and he simply handed us our check. We made the mistake and ordered 2 dinner specials. Mine was very cold. Hubbies was O.K. but nothing outstanding. All in all there are many better restaurants in Phoenix. We won’t be back.
