LOVE this place! The burgers are great, it’s so funto be able to pick all your own toppings at no extra charge. One warning..one order of fries is plenty to share with a few people!
I want to like this place. The reviews plastered all over the walls even tell me I should, but when the fries are soggy and undercooked I dont care where the potatoes came from or if they were hand cut. Just bad. Burger was average. Overall ill just go to in and out for a better and less expensive meal.
Overpriced. I was expecting something out of this world given how much DC residents rave about the burgers, but they were just average. Fatburger and In n’ Out offer better burgers at nearly half the price. $6 for a single patty burger is ridiculous, as was the $5 I paid for a large order of fries. I would return if the prices were cut in half, but will not make further trips out there.
Greasy and expensive. Don’t ask for the veggie sandwich because they really mean that you get a bun but have to choose your veggies from the list of toppings – i.e. can only have onions and mushrooms. The small burger was greasy. Not worth the calories. Prefer in’n’out.
Finally!. This is a DC burger joint (my hometown) so as far as price goes, it is inexpensive. For AZ, it s a bit pricey, I’ll admit that. You’ve got to know the tricks! 😉 Order a grilled cheese and add a patty to it. It is a little cheaper than a cheeseburger and way more flavorful. They flip the bun inside out and grill it on the flat top. So good! I add pickles, lettuce, grilled onions and tomatoes- all included in the price of course. The cajun fries with malt vinegar are awesome. Plain fries suck. And yes…it’s high calorie and bad for you…but that’s why fast food should be a treat and not an everyday thing. Right? 🙂
Devoid of Flavor. Ignoring the fact the food is highly overpriced it has zero flavor. I could have been eating mushy cardboard and it would have the same impact. How do you remove the flavor from bacon? From grilled onions? Grilled mushrooms? THE BEEF? Seriously no flavor. And Oscar Mayer makes more flavorful hotdogs which is not a compliment to OM either. The best thing on the menu? The fries. Thick cut, slightly limp like you get at the State Fair. Otherwise, fehgiddaboutit. There are much tastier places that cost half as much.
Overpriced, mediocre food. The burgers are okay but when it costs $11+ for a burger, fries and drink… the food is somewhat less appealing. The Cajun fries are downright gross.
