Way overpriced for what it is. A croque monsieur and a croque madame are not supposed to be open face sandwiches, if you are going to make them that way at least do not charge $10.50 for it or put 2 pieces of bread. The green chili on my plate was so watery that the crunchy tortilla was totally soggy and still my plate had water once I was done eating. Not a lot of flavor. Will not give it a second chance as both plates were very disappointing.
This restaurant lacks customer service. I have been eating at Hillside for over 4 years. I host business meetings here because the food is good and I know they make an effort to be local. I support local restaurants and the community. I even featured Hillside Spot in my blog and in an article I wrote for the Inside Ahwatukee magazine (Feb 2014 issue) as a great spot for local fare. However, the last two times I have stopped in at Hillside for business meetings, I have been asked to leave so they could give my table to other customers. I am so disappointment and I will no longer be offering any recommendations or patronage to his business.
