Food was great, and service even better. Was in the area looking for sushi and we weren’t disappointed. We’ll be back to try some of their house specialties.
I had a half hour before a meeting so I stopped in and sat at the bar. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder (excellent) but it took 20 minutes to get served. I was late for my meeting.
Average and pricey…
Not Great, but Good. Celebrated a friends Birthday here this evening, we arrived about a half hours early, and the host said we could not be seated until 7. Decided to have a beverage and some apps in the bar, nice wine choices, and some sushi, all good. All tables in the patio full, and only one staff member, for a Saturday evening, and all the spring training fans in town, you’d think they would be prepared. WE finished and proceeded to the table with the other guests for dinner. I ordered the same wine I had before, and noticed my glass looked like it had not been cleaned from the bottom, politely asked for a new glass of wine, The manager walked out with my new glass and indicted that it was actually residual sugar from the wine, which I appreciated he telling me. I ordered the lobster mac n cheese as my entree, it was good, nice pieces of lobster.
Love kona grill…I love asain food but I’m pretty picky about it and I have loved everything I have tried at kona so far. I usually sit in the bar and the service is always great, the servers are very friendly and attentive, even when they are very busy. The drink specials for happy hour are pretty good, I love the ladies margarita! The manager will even usually come by and see how you are doing and there are never any complaints. Love!
Ran out of my dish. The dish I really wanted they ran out of but my alternative choices were not so good. The fish was dry and the sushi was disappointing. The cocktail was also not good. Overall, I found it disappointing, especially for the price.
Mr. Moralas r u really sure that u came in before 11:00 pm that night…??? Or did you really come in just after 11:00 pm. Just trying to keep u honest. Most normal people have the decency not to go to a Resturant just before it is to close; that is unless you are just looking to find fault for the sake of fault itself. In my opinion you really didn’t give this fine Establishment it’s proper due. What you really gave was an unfair yet childish review. Allan
