John, our server, did an outstanding job making it an outstanding evening. Definitely a go to experience in North Phoenix.

Not a busy evening for a Saturday, ended up in a booth in the lounge. The Piano player was wonderful with a wide variety of songs sung, very entertaining. We started of with deviled eggs and tuna tar tar, I’m not a fan of deviled eggs no matter how they are prepared. Ceaser salad was good, but too large in portion, half the size would have been perfect. My wife had the onion soup which had a great flavor, and was not salty. Dinner, my wife had the Halibit, and I had the Talapia, both very nicely prepared, we added the asparagus, and mac n cheese both excellent.
Just OK. Came to Ocean Prime for Arizona Restaurant Week 2010. Love the location and decor of the restaurant. For the first course, I ordered the Ocean Prime house salad with granny smith apples, goat cheese, spinach and walnuts. I did not care for the walnuts at all. They had a sweet taste, but bitter after taste to them. Ordered the salmon with soy butter sauce for the second course. It was good, but needed some carbs to go with it, instead of the snap peas it was served with. Maybe some mashed potatoes? My friend and I shared the dessert of creme brulee and carrot cake. The carrot cake was massive, seriously huge. I’m not kidding! It had 10 layers, each layer is baked individually and covered in home made cream cheese. It was delicious and too big for just 2 people to finish. The table next to us had already paid their bill and were getting ready to leave when they saw our carrot cake and ordered one for them to go! Ha, ha. I enjoyed Ocean Prime, but it’s just OK for me. Not as good as it gets.
Very trendy!. Good food, Great Butter Cake. More of a place to be seen than eat at. There are better Restaurants with just as good of food that have better ambiance.
Perfect Romantic Evening. An exquisite evening with exceptional food and service (thank you Frank). I love the modern yet comfortable decor and the friendliness of the service and management. I really recommend the berries/bubbles cocktail, the calamari, and the seabass. The scallops, shrimp and lobster were great but the seabass was incredible. The portions are very generous and the sauce is the same for most dishes making it very easy to share! I’m sorry T Cooks, but I must leave you for another…
Really Excellent – 5 Star. On our first visit to Ocean Prime we were delighted to find attentive, knowledgeable staff, excellent service, and a lovely, romantic atmosphere. Our waitress presented us with a very complete wine which offered many wines by the glass. Drinks were prompt and perfectly served. The appetizer list is long and very tempting. We tried the Oysters – both Rockefeller and on the half-shell, and found both to be luscious. For a main course the menu offers a wide selection of wonderful fish and seafood dishes as well as a variety superb steaks. Mid-course, Manager Tony McMahon stopped by to introduce himself and and check to make sure everything was perfect. It was. A gorgeous and friendly lounge, complete with live piano music – Sinatra oldies on the night we were there. It’s worth a visit just to view the unique Wine Wall and private dining area for large groups or parties. We rate Ocean Prime a solid 5/5 Stars. It’s truly a special place. It was a wonderful evening and we will most certainly go back.
