THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I’ve been going to this place since it opened and today will be the last time I ever walk through that door. I called in my order for lunch at 12 o’clock and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes. When I arrived there I stood waiting for someone to acknowledge me. When the girl finally did, I told her I was there to pick up my food. She asked me if I ordered something other then what I called in. After correcting her, she took my money, and I stood there and waited, and waited, and waited some more. After standing there almost 20 minutes a woman came to talk to me. I explained how this was my lunch break and didn’t understand why it was taking so long. She told me it wasn’t taking long I hadn’t put my order in until 12:23. The lady kept arguing with me and then informed me that I needed church. I hope no one makes the same mistake I made by going to this place.
Breakfast. I been in the restaurant bussines 25 yrs,always looking for great food,somefriend mention rustic cafe at cave creek,finally make it in on sunday 10/21/2012 guest what, HORRIBLEEEEE,service,ambient,manager,and the most important,FOOD, 7minutes before someone greet me,20 min for eggs bene,wrong food,they fix the problem witha 3min,really?yep,cold english muffing raw spinach,really watery soft eggs,anyway the best part nobody cares, i got charge full price which i dont care,i was exited to try this place,bottom line i will NEVER back. o recommend it,nice friend of mine???:(
Rustic Cafe a Must Do. I’ve eaten here many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The wait staff is competent, courteous and helpful. The food is outstanding. They have a lamb special on Saturday, only the rendering is a mystery until you arrive. They have wonderful omelets for bkfst and the sandwiches for lunch are amazing. The prices are not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
So-So. We have passed by this place likely hundreds of times as it’s blocks from out house. Of the many times we’ve tried to eat here, it finally was open one day when we stopped in.Not really impressed. Average cafe cooking. Nothing outstanding. Nothing disastrous either. Just, eh.. The prices were rather expensive for what we received and the poor patio service was the sliding kicker to don’t like.And we really wanted to like it too. For all the trouble it took to get in here to eat.
The portions are perfect and the service is great! We eat here at least once a week, it’s good home cooking.
