Zinc Bistro is my go-to restaurant to fulfill my after dinner / late night dessert cravings. Zinc Bistro makes from scratch an amazing Chocolate Souffle that comes with your choice of chocolate, mint or Gran Marnier sauce. If you decide to dine in make sure you place your order before dinner as it takes about 30 minutes to prepare. For dessert goers who have dined else ware, Zinc Bistro’s souffle preparation time is perfect to make a little room while enjoying a glass of wine or coffee.
Always consistently good, though I’ve never been for dinner, only for lunch. The patio is a favorite spot on a sunny afternoon. Favorites include the duck confit sandwich, mussels, French onion soup, Scottish salmon, and of course the frites. writeonrubee.com
Dining at Zinc Bistro. From the atmosphere to the food, I had an amazing experience at the French themed restaurant Zinc Bistro in Scottsdale. The whole place was very nicely decorated and there was even a large Eiffel Tower replica in the middle. The servers and everyone who worked there always had a smile on their face, were very friendly and were all there if you needed anything. Nothing is worse than bad service and this restaurant gave me the exact opposite. The food was excellent. Their onion soup was one of the best I have ever tasted. As a main course I had the chateaubriand which I highly recommend to everyone. I was also very impressed with their mac and cheese. To finish up I tried the hazelnut souffl which I was not the biggest fan of and would recommend to maybe try a different dessert! Overall, I left very full and satisfied. Sadly, good food usually comes with a price. Although it was really pricy, I would say everyone needs to try Zinc Bistro at least once! It was a great type of place for getting together with friends on a weekend or going out for a date night. I wouldnt choose this restaurant for a family dinner or advise bringing a lot of people here. But, if youre looking to get a little French experience or try something new this would be the place to do it!
Dining at Zinc Bistro is a unique experience, starting with when you walk through the door. I dine at the Zinc Bistro located off Scottsdale road in the Keirland Shopping Center. The wait time always seems to be fairly long for the amount of costumers present in the restaurant. For this reason I recommend calling ahead of time for a reservation. The atmosphere of the restaurant has a sense of serenity. The Eiffel tower and decorative twinkling lights make it ideal for a date setting. The ceiling of the restaurant looks as though it is made of tan tile with an intricate square pattern leading your eyes to look all over the restaurant. The detailed stone tiling on the ground and large white ball shaped lights give the atmosphere an antique feeling, almost like you are in Italy. The waiters and waitresses are extremely kind, attentive and seem to have thorough training. As I looked through the menu of traditionally delicious Italian cuisine the Zinc Bistro Famous Macaroni and Cheese kept catching my eye. So I ordered that along with a pink sparkling lemonade that came out rather quickly. The sparkling pink lemonade came in an Italian bottle that was just adorable! The fizziness of the drink was quite extreme but it accompanied my meal divinely. The macaroni came out steaming on a warm plate and was made of large macaroni noodles, a wonderful creamy cheese and cut strips of cooked ham. It was an absolutely delicious dish prepared perfectly! I believe that the fine dinning restaurant of Zinc Bistro is well run, has a wonderful menu with many options, exceptional service and a unique atmosphere. I will definitely be revisiting again in the near
Very Good Great Service. Very GoodGreat Service
I’ve been here several times with and without kids. One time I went as part of a girls weekend and we had a reservation for 8 pm and didn’t get sat until 915. At that point by the time we finished eating and paid our tab (they do not do separate checks) our night was so late and ruined we just went back to the hotel and went to bed.On a separate occassion, I hosted a birthday party of 22 people for my husband. It was his second choice since his first doesn’t take reservations. We arrived on time and the staff was excellent. The manager and the waitstaff were top notch. I called several days ahead to reserve the tables and I explained we will have 7 children with us. The banquet manager was very helpful and I requested the patio, however it was closed for renovations. So I made sure our table was in the back and secluded from other guests. In addition, this was a Tuesday night at 6pm so there were maybe 3 other patrons in the restaurant at the time. As we waited for our food, I noticed the place was extremely hot. The thermostat next to us read 80 degrees. Very hot considering the amount of people at the table and it was 110 outside. However, what made me more uncomfortable was the owner that stood at the side of our table and stared at me and then the table of kids that were quietly coloring and being very well behaved. (at some points, they would get a little chatty but never out of control). He literally stood and stared at us for 10-20 minutes and then proceeded to argue with the manager while looking at our table of guests and waving his arms. I watched as he apologized to one table closest to us and they responded with, we all have kids it’s really no big deal. Really? The owner?? It was so incredibly uncomfortable and took everything I had not to approach him. This wasn’t a last minute table request for a walk in. I made sure the restaurant knew we were having multiple kids and made sure that they could accomodate us.He stood at the side or front of the room and intimadatedly stared at us the rest of the time and the walked past our table and gave us dirty looks as he went outside and then came back in.Now, our money is just as good as anyone else’s and we spent at lease $1000 that night when the restaurant otherwise was extrememly slow. I feel this experience has made it very uncomfortable for me and my fellow 22 guests, so none of us will be returning- with or without kids
Berkshire pork cooked perfectly but unable to accommodate a lactose allergy because all sauces and accompaniments are pre prepared. Had pork on a mass of asparagus, not good for a chef from French Laundry. Service and ambience were superb, entree, not so much.
