Came here for a quick to go meal. Looked on their menu and the lamb and beef combo looked good. It was a bit above average in terms of price for $14.99, but thought it would be worth giving a try. To our disappointment, for $15 you dont get any veg or salad. Just some rice and a few pieces of dry beef. The lamb kabob was tasty, and I cant complain about the rice, service was also really good and the restaurant itself was clean. In my opinion, its okay to charge a premium price, but at this price and portion, a salad or veg should be included.

Delicious kebabs and especially the pomegranate chicken. The restaurant is Persian not Afgan and is now known as Z TE grill. I’ll go every time I visit Phoenix.

Wide variety of dishes for the size of the place. The owner, Mr. Moghimi, was very friendly and his service was excellent. I had the falafel sandwich. Perfectly done and served on tandoori bread with vegetables. I washed it down with an Abali yogurt drink. I had hot tea and baklava for desert. Both were tasty. I was driving by the strip mall in northeastern Phoenix when I saw the colorful sign. Had to try it. Not disappointed.

The Owner. Reviews are usually written about a place, but I am going to write it about the owner. I have know the owner for 28 years. He is an amazing person and has been in the restaurant business for at least 26 years. Not only is he very talented, but he is very generous and kind.He always treats his guests as friends and his friends as his guest. A quality that is not very common today. He has owned other well known restaurants in Phoneix and managed a few in NY.I live in Texas but if I ever return to Phoneix, I will make sure to vist his restaurant. For those of you who have not yet visited his place, you will be in for a treat. You will be enjoying food that should be served in some of the most famous restaurants around the world right there in Phoenix. I hope you enjoy the experience. Regards.

Great food! Fast counter service. I have been here several times for lunch and the food is fresh, flavorful and the prices are good. They also offer coupons and have had 50% off deals for email group-coupon buyers. I love Persian/middle eastern/Mediterranean foods, but if you’re not sure you will, take advantage of some of their coupons and give them a try! I bet you’ll be back for more…

Good food, good portions, good prices…. Went in Friday night, ordered Gyro’s for the wife and I, hummus with extra bread, and a chicken kabob platter for the kids. Food Report: the gyro’s are very big, have good flavor, but they had quite a bit of lettuce, which I don’t really like in my gyro’s. I like just the meat, tomatoes, a few onions, and the tzatziki (sp) sauce. They were good though and we both enjoyed them. The hummus rocks! I don’t know how much bread comes with it normally, as we got extra, but it was good stuff. Highly recommend. The kabob platter was good as well. The chicken has great flavor, my kids liked it. It comes with a pretty good amount of rice, which is fine, but is just rice, so not much to do with it or say.Overall, clean nice restaurant, good food, would recommend. Next time I will be trying the lamb or something else.

Like the Persian Room on a budget. Very good kebobs, tasty rice, delicious fresh bread! A great find in casual dining. The filet was very tender, the chicken was moist & the ground beef was even great! Definitely will be back!
