Not the best but not the worst. Cheap meal. We used to frequent the Steak House at the Desert Diamond Casino so we thought that there change to the Cfe would not be thT bad. They had one steak on the dinner menue which was a Rib Eye for $19.00. Not a bad price but they did not offer a salad, nor bread on the table. When asked bout bred they said no we do not serve bread. Really people I’m sure you could provide a few dinner rolls. The steak was not bad but the vegetables were not fully cooked and the potatoes were awful! My husband asked for the mushrooms that were on the menu but was told they could not provide any substitutions. All they had to do was provide the item with a charge.

If you enjoyed the Steakhouse in the past, you’ll be sorely disappointed!. Effective June 2012, there is a new chef and a new menu at the Steakhouse. What a disappointment. Not only are the old favorites gone, but the prices have nearly doubled and the portions are small. My husband and I have been patrons of this restaurant since it opened, and have rarely been disappointed – until this last visit. You now have to pay extra for a salad, which was previously included in the entree price, a choice of potato is included. For those following a low-carb diet, this is an issue – I don’t eat bread or potatoes. It would make more sense to include the salad with the entree. One entree on the menu is a petit filet mignon – it’s 4 ounces (the size of a McDonald’s Quarter Pounder) for over $20. To get a filet mignon that small, it would have to be about 1/2 thick – or less. That’s not filet mignon – that’s a tenderloin medallion. The regular size filet mignon is now $37, and I think it was 6 ounces.I ordered the salmon, which came out on a cedar plank. The piece of salmon was smaller than the lunch portion of grilled salmon at the Red Lobster, and was completely tasteless. Instead of a wedge of lemon to squeeze on the salmon, there were three slices of lemon sitting on top of the salmon, and they were so thin I could see through them – and the covered nearly the whole piece of salmon. The vegetable of the day was broccoli, which was overcooked and ice cold when it arrived at our table on cold plates. When I told the server it was cold, she took it away, and I expected to get a replacement – no dice. She never came back. So my dinner consisted of a very small portion of salmon and 1 or 2 small bites of broccoli. My husband ordered Shrimp Scampi. It, too, arrived on a cold plate, and consisted of 5 medium-sized shrimp and a mesh bag with a lemon slice – no pasta or rice. The side dish he ordered was supposed to be garlic mashed potatoes, but he said it tasted like instant mashed potatoes from a box. It’s obvious that the new chef developed his recipes for their presentation value, not for taste. My suggestion for the Steakhouse management is to bring back the old chef and the old menu. In this economy, a restaurant can’t double their prices while serving half the amount of food, and expect to build their business. We used to leave this restaurant with a box of leftovers – this time we both left hungry.

Did not like the food!!! Food to pricey for a casino and the taste. Crab cakes were very dry, no flavor. Steak over cooked a bit, made it dry. Waiter was excellent and so was the bread. Do not recommend!!!!
