Food was excellent for breakfast. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast and it was excellent. My wife had the Sawmill breakfast and said it was very good. Service was a little slow, but they got slammed with a full inside and outside with fewer than usual staff. Beautiful fall colors, very relaxing if you just enjoy the outdoors.
Great food. We had the Reuben sandwiche and fries for lunch. It was really good. The strawberry Rhubarb pie was awesome. Friends had the salmon BLT and clam chowder. We highly recommend this restraurant, plus the drive up the mountain.
A very nice dining experience! A far cry from the days of the Mt Lemon Cafe! Green Chili bacon cheeseburger was awesome as well as the sweet potato fries!
My husband and I stopped for lunch after a hike. He had the brisket sandwich and I had the pulled pork; both were excellent! The service was fast and friendly. We will definite be back!
Best place to eat in Summerhaven.. The Sawmill Run is in a beautiful location, has friendly service and great food. The layout is great and modern, casual but welcoming. The indoor/outdoor bar is a nice touch as are the patio and fireplace. We live in Tucson but will sometimes drive up Catalina Highway on a Sunday afternoon to eat dinner here (note that it closes at 6 on Sundays, so its an early dinner). Our favorites are the BBQ potato chips, Veggie Wrap and Smoked Salmon BLT, while our 3 year old son loves the hummus plate. The only item we have not liked is the grilled Caesar (on account of the dressing being too thick to pour). We have not yet tried the desserts. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Mt. Lemmon.
Above and beyond!!. My dad and I recently went to Sawmill Run Restaurant in Summerhaven, AZ. We loved our entire experience. The building is beautiful with excellent views and interior design. Our server was energetic, efficient, and very helpful, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. I whole-heartedly recommend this restaurant for its excellent food and kind-hearted, efficient manager and servers.
Wow! What a surprise this was. Had a group of us out site seeing today. Stopped in the Sawmill Run Restaurant for lunch. Started off with the homage chips and pulled pork on top and an order of smoked wings. Both were Great; had to ordered 2 additional baskets of wings. The smoked meats were great. Also loved the sweet potato tots and fried corn on the cob. Just try it you will love it. Deserts were amazing. Ask for Curtis, he was great and passionate about this place. Can’t wait to go back
