Less than friendly.. Clean, bright little place, with poor parking, like much of Prescott.Seated in a comfortable booth and received my coffee.Waitress had the warmth of a non sweet potato, and the coffee tasted like brown water.Received my sausage omelet, which was pretty good except for the missing sausage. Home fries were good.If your name is sweet potato, I would expect the sweet potato pancakes to be great! In reality, they were tasteless and kind of pasty.Every other breakfast place I have eaten at this week has had a welcoming staff. Not here.I won’t return.Food……….CService…….C- ( efficient, but not friendly)Ambience…..B-Value…………C-
The best in Prescott. We have lived in Prescott for almost twenty five years, and Deano’s Cafe is the best in town. The food is outstanding and the staff is exceptional. Friendly and welcoming. Mr. Deano is a relative new owner, though his excellent reputation precedes him. For us, it is a ‘home away from home’. Kaye and David
This is a good alternative to the other diners around downtown Prescott. Breakfast service is fast and friendly. The omelets are big and fluffy, unlike everywhere else where they’re usually dense and rubbery. The sweet potato bread you can get instead of toast or pancakes is quite good. The main downside is the limited parking available. There are some spaces around the back of the building but it can be iffy to find a spot and there’s no street parking.
Great sweet potato pancakes. Enjoy the food and the staff is friendly. They do close promptly at 2 pm. We arrived at 1:50 pm and they would not serve us.
Sweet Potato. My waffle and bacon were ok. Service was good. The amount charged was over the top! $$ One waffle, three slices of bacon and a cup of coffee. $12.50. I would like to support this restaurant but with these prices, I’m afraid I’ll be going to the Waffle House.
First of all the pricing is off here. Should be two $$ signs. My husband went to lunch there and had salads. They were $10 per and came with a piece of homemade bread. The salad was the size of other places dinner salad! Didn’t fill us up at all!!!! They easily made about $9 off of us per salad as there were only about $1 of ingredients (if that!) in that salad. The bread was a nice touch but nothing special.
Trish is back. A bit of history. This used to be Trisha’s Slow Food. Then she sold it. The buyer kept the name but the place went downhill. In early 2010, Trish bought it back and changed the name to Sweet Potato Cafe for a break with the past.We went there on a Friday morning recently. The eggs were great, the sweet potato pancakes were to die for, and the service was great. Coffee, unfortunately, is only so so. Parking in front is very limited but there is more parking in the rear.
