Place was not busy at all sat down to order and upon being seated we got chips and salsa which the chips where utterly stale and the salsa was bland we then decided not to order of the menu and felt bad so ate as many chips as possible and also got a root beer then asked for our check and it ended up costing 10$ for chips and salsa and a drink what a rip off not to ever come back again…
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Thought we would try it tonight heard mixed reviews thought it maybe worth a shot. It was a mistake from the chips and salsa we were weary, chips were stale salsa had no flavor. Three of us had chimicangas each one came out wrong the meat was dry and tasted absolutely disgusting. The 4th order was the fry bread, and that to came out wrong. We were all excited to try this restaurant but left extremely disappointed. Know that we will not be back nor will we refer it to anyone. There are few Mexican restaurants in town and this is not one to consider.
My family and I have been going to El Charro for 25 years. The enchalida sauce is fantastic and the meat is high quality and tasty. We like all of their food. The staff is friendly and attentive. El Charro has two seperate sides of their restaurant – The Cantina which has large screen TV’s and a bar, and the original family side. El Charro is our favorite restaurant in town.
