Besides the baked goods that this place started out with, these days you can get sandwiches, chile, or a soup of the day. It feels like a coffee house inside, where you walk up to the counter and order and then they bring it out to you. I had the chile which was very good for the kind with beans. Some heat, and optional cheese or onions.
Small town feel, taste & service. A small gem in the Miller Valley Road area across from Fry’s!A few months ago they started to offer chili and wow, is it GREAT! For six bucks you get a big bowl, not a chintzy portion like most restaurants and a fresh-baked roll that is so good on it’s own that you don’t need any butter on it! The chili is thick and they don’t skimp on the meat. Not too spicy, either. My new favorite place to warm up my stomach on a wet/cold day!
Great selection of pies (highly recommend the chocolate or anything with pear!) but don’t miss the brownies and cobbler and their cinnamon rolls are addictive! Family run place and everyone is sweet. Stop in for soup or sandwich before a slice. You won’t regret it.
