Skip the buffet. It’s unremarkable and expensive, but does come with excellent naan bread. Ordering off the menu will get you much better choices, but everything is ala carte, including the rice and bread, so the final price is gonna be high. Either way, it’s not cheap. That said, everything I’ve ever had off the menu has been excellent. Portions look small, but somehow I’ve never left hungry, and I have a big appetite.

A frustrating experience.. We ordered 3 entrees for take out. When we got home there was no rice. Who wants to eat shrimp curry, lamb bori masala or saag paneer without rice. When I called the restaurant, they said the rice was al la carte and had to be ordered separately. These are $15 entrees! At a minimum, the waiter should have informed us that the entrees did not come with rice. What are these people thinking? For what it is worth, the saag paneer was pretty good and the other two dishes needed more spices.

Pricey, Stingy Portions and My Wallet is Mad at Me. Came here for dinner and immediately had price shock- most entrees cost over $12.99 and do not include anything! All items are a la carte meaning if you want a side of rice or bread, it’s going to cost you: $2.50 for Basmati Rice and $2.99 for Garlic Naan. On top of that, once I got my Butter Chicken ($13.99 price tag), it was literally 1 cup of sauce with 6 pieces of chicken floating in it. Thank goodness I had ordered rice otherwise this dish would have to be eaten as a soup. However, the Butter Chicken was the best I have ever had. My date ordered the $15.99 Goat Curry and he received 3X the amount of food that I did, so half the meal was spent watching him eat while I had an empty plate. Very awkward.05 Mar, 2014Great Ambience, OK food. I love Indian cuisine and I had really high hopes for this place. The dcor was very impressive and quite authentic. The bar looked like a great night spot and I was intrigued with their hooka display. However, we felt lost upon entering as no one was there to greet nor seat us. It was lunchtime, yet hardly anyone was there. We ordered their popular lunch buffet (11am-3pm daily) and hardly any of the food items were freshly stocked. There was familiar items such as Saag, Dahl, Vegetable Pakora, Chicken Makhni, Chicken Tandoori, and Chicken Curry. All these items were tasty, but lacking robust aroma and flavor that is consistent to Indian cuisine. The Pakora and Jasmine Rice were fried to a crisp. The highlight of the meal was the fresh Garlic Naan bread served tableside. So aromatic, flavorful, and hot! We couldn’t stop asking for more. I was also impressed with the Kheer Rice Pudding (orgasmic cardamom flavor!) and Gulab Jamun (syrup soaked dough balls). Our server was super friendly although he didn’t return much to clear plates or refill beverages. The part that really dampened my experience was the boisterous owner, bossing and belittling his staff right in front of us. I know what it’s like to take pride in your business and expect perfection, but to get respect you must give it. He should realize that his behavior may be impacting his return clientele.

If you like long waits and very poor service this is your place!. Waited in the bar for friends to arrive. The bartender didn’t know prices for a G&T, then mixed me one that had NO perceivable gin. When friends came we were seated at a table in the dining room. The waiter announced it would be 45 minutes before our meals came (we hadn’t yet ordered.) We ordered beer and appetizers and ordered our meal. One hour and 30 min later our meals arrived. They’d gotten orders mixed up and one of us got the wrong entre; rather than another wait she ate it. Food was delicious but not at all a good value. For $12.95 per person each of us got a metal bowl, attractive, with about 1 1/2 c.- 2 c. of entre. No rice. No veg. Extra charge for rice and veg. We had to ask for silverware, more water. Meanwhile there was a power outage, no one seemed to know what to do and it lasted about 15 minutes. The food is good, the rest is a disaster! I won’t be eating there again in spite of the tasty food.

Lamb korma very good. Ample portion Service very good as well. Have eaten at former location. This is much better. Owner is on premises even after 10 years as is her husband the cook.

Huge disappointment. We ate at this restaurant many times before they moved downtown and always enjoyed the food and service. We haven’t been there as often in recent years, and after our recent experience will likely not return. I don’t claim to be an expert in Indian food, but I know how incredibly flavorful it can be, and this was nothing like what I remember good Indian food tasting like. The sag paneer and chicken tikka masala were just so bland, more like a frozen meal with none of the rich spice flavor I am used to (this was from the menu and not the buffet). They didn’t taste bad, just bland. The onion bhaji appetizer was extremely greasy-not bad tasting, we just couldn’t eat it because of the unpleasant feeling of a mouth full of grease. One of my favorite things is papadam, but that was dark brown and overcooked and even the tamarind condiment was tasteless. The chai tea was good. The service was slow and the prices quite high, especially considering the quality. This is the first review I have ever written, but the $50 + bill for such a disappointing meal seemed to warrant a comment.

Absolute WORST Indian food I’ve ever tasted. We ate from the bland buffet. All the dishes tasted the same & lacked the flavor I am accustom to when eating Indian Food. The rice dessert was watery and nothing like what you would b en served in an authentic Indian restaurant.
