Tara occupies an upscale location on the Courthouse Plaza in Prescott. They’ve spent a ton of bucks on the decor. There’s a full bar with fancy, and expensive, cocktails. The food, in spite of the high rent location, is only slightly higher than the competition. Ordering the maximum heat level gets you medium heat by big city standards, but the entres we had, while not huge, were tasty and satisfying. There’s a ton of competition these days for your Thai food dollar, and while I might give the nod to Toi’s over in PV, Tara is above average for this area.
High price small portions. High price small portions
Finally, amazing food & ambiance in Prescott!. I have never written a review but felt so strongly about the culinary experience we had at Tara Fine. I believe they have settled into their new location and things are running well. Every dish had that correct balance between savory and rich. The ambiance is lovely, service friendly, and every meal an experience. My two friends are excellent chefs themselves and agreed. Try the green curry dish! And any of the soups; they come in fun bowl with a flame shooting out the top. Great presentation and amazing flavor. Rex, the chef, visited our table several times for a leisurely chat. They had a new limited edition whiskey that they offered to the birthday boy. He was very pleased. The pour was hefty and appreciated. If you don’t want to spend dollars for an entire meal, the bar looked very inviting for a cocktail and appetizer. And I loved that you could actually hear your friends; no loud music or tile or clanging dishes.Check it out. Let’s support this restaurant in Prescott.
Dining experience at Tara. We visited Tara twice in the three days we spent in Prescott. We ate family style, sharing several different entrees each time. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Will definitely recommend this place to our friends!
Way over priced.. Went there for dinner last night. Had the Pad Thai. Noodles were very sticky, tofu was chewy on the outside and mushy on the inside…overall, pretty tasteless. For over $13 a plate, I probably won’t dine there again. At least the waiter was cute. Best part of our evening.
Best Thai food in Prescott. The Best in Town………………We are return customer for over 10 Years
Went here last night for dinner around 6pm and there was some problem in the back and it smelled horrible – literally stank of chemicals in the restaurant ! The server, shaking his head, said they were unfortunately cleaning out the sprinkler system during dinner rush. Anyway, the place is beautiful !!!Guests were taking pictures. It really is well done. Wonderful. The food was delicious. Fried Rice and Curries and vegetables – all well done and in delicious sauces. (Just keep in mind that you need to order hotter than you usually do because if you order a 2 hot (on a 1-4 heat scale), it will come out bland ! This was true across multiple dishes, not just one. We had been told the same thing by someone else who had been here before.)The staff is nice and friendly.
