Came here for an afternoon drink with a friend and shared some complimentary chips & salsa and the Poco Chimichanga platter. I can honestly say these were the best chips & salsa I have ever had! The chips were so fresh and delicately crisp. The salsa was slightly chunky, slightly watery, but not too spicy yet not bland. The sour cream-bean dip was outrageously delicious! The chimichangas came 7 to a plate (not a great number for sharing) with a dollop of sour cream-cream cheese dip. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, yet quite lukewarm and bland on the inside. A touch more seasoning to the shredded chicken/beef filling would have done the trick. The dip was almost useless as the cream cheese was quite hard- perhaps more sour cream to soften it up? The ambience was casual- a Mexican sports bar feel. They have a huge occupancy and can only guess that they are quite busy at night. The service we had was prompt, polite, but we were the only guests at the bar, and perhapsin the entire restaurant,so I expect that’s why our service was top notch. I would love to come back again and try some of their other delights to up their Rating.
2nd time eating here. The first time I had chewy chili verde. Tonight I had chili rellenos. My favorite food. I’ve eaten them all over the country and have always been pleased. These were the greasiest soaking rellenos. I’ve never had them this bad. I only got halfway through one before I started getting sick. The manger watched me sop up the oil with a stack of napkins and told me he eats them 3 times a week and the oil is from the cheese. These weren’t even left to drain. I couldn’t finish it. Even the rice was bad- covered in black pepper. But the bean dip is ok.

GREAT PLACE!. I haven’t eaten at a Garcia’s in 20 years… after a movie I stopped by and was very glad I did. The Prescott Theatre has closed – so I don’t go to the movies much either… It was 9:30pm on a Thursday and they were open till 10pm… I really enjoyed the bean dip they serve with the chips and salsa… they also had a hotter salsa – GREAT! I ordered the street tacos and was very satisfied! I will return to Garcia’s and see more movies too!
Won’t be returning!. Rude staff, awful service, if you get any at all! Go to one of the other restaurants in the area!13 Jun, 2011Customer service is non-exsistent. Don’t waste your time or money going to Garcias the staff is awful, they do not care about customer service at all! They do have a good happy hour but that’s only if you’re lucky enough to get someone to help you! And if that happens they’re not very friendly or nice.. There are several great places to go around here, won’t be coming back to this crap hole!
Taco Bell tastes better and services sucks.
