Multiple Names. The sign on the building says El Maya Mexican Restaurant, the takeout menu says Maya Mexican Restaurant, the table menu says Mayas Mexican Restaurant, and on-line listings name it Maya Mexican Food to Go. Anyway you look at it, this is a good basic restaurant with minimal ambience if you’re eating there. They do a booming takeout business and the prices are great.
Highly recommended catering and restaurant. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant! Maya’s Mexican Food to Go is a family-run business and the food is delicious. My husband and I were recently married in the countryside of Prescott and Maya’s catering made our wedding very special. Maya’s drove 15 miles outside of town, served a menu of grilled chicken, whole beans, rice, hot corn and flour tortillas and fresh enchiladas prepared on a portable grill in front of our delighted guests (and cheese crisps for the kids!). They respected our budget and were very helpful in constructing a delicious and extremely affordable menu. At our wedding, the staff was professional, courteous and hard-working.Be it catering or eating in their restaurant, when you are with Maya’s you will be treated like family.
Best Non-Tex Mex We’ve Had Since Coming to AZ. Moved to AZ from MI a month and a half ago so I’m not a big fan of Tex Mex. This place is more authentic than other places we have been and has some sweet specials. They’ve just extended their hours, so make sure that you give them a try.
Grilled Chicken Extrodinaire. The grilled marinated chicken at this place it the best I’ve ever had. a little squeeze of lime that comes with it and some salsa and a tortilla and I’m in heaven. Every time I make it to Prescott Valley I call to make sure they have some chicken left, they frequently sell out because everyone who has had it knows how delish it is, and when they have it I always drop in for a whoe chicken to go. It is unbeatable.
