  First Time Trying Greek Food. I had never experienced Greek food before going to Greek Islands. I was a little unsure about trying it for the first time when I arrived at Greek Islands Grill because it was so small and tucked back in a corner . However, the workers there were extremely helpful and convinced me to try it. They explained to me what everything on the menu was and even let me sample the gyro, which tasted very fresh and you could tell even the sample was freshly cooked. Overall, the environment was very friendly and would be a good place to go to with friends or family. At first I ended up ordering the Gyro. It was delicious, all the ingredients on it were extremely fresh, it all kind of melted in my mouth. The pita bread that they put the Gyro on was my absolute favorite. It was so soft and tasted as if it where made right as i ordered it. I also ordered a small Greek salad which was my favorite part of the meal. The tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, lettuce, and feta cheese were freshly prepared. All of the ingredients went very well together. For desert I ordered something I had never even heard of, Baklava. I still do not know what was in it but it was extremely yummy. Everything I ordered here was absolutely delicious! Greek Islands Grill is a definitely a place that I will visit again. It was very authentic and the food was so fresh it made me feel as if I was in Greece. The environment was very welcoming and friendly, a wonderful place to go to with a group of people. They are also very generous and make their portions of food fairly big. You get a lot of food for the price which does not go over $10. If you are looking for a place to eat with fresh and savory Greek food that does not empty out your wallet, I would suggest that you go and try Greek Islands Grill.
