I ate dinner here yesterday while nearby -had the sirloin w potato and salad. The sirloin had noticeable mesquite flavor and was cooked exactly as ordered -medium. The potato was fine, but just a potato. The salad was cold and fresh and the dressing was good, but it was just a simple salad -not memorable. Overall, the food was good, but not very good value…$20 plus drink. It was simple food, quality ingredients, but nothing to bring me back. They have a very limited menu -most all steaks and sandwiches. I give it a light recommend. It took a long time for them to take my order and I had to wave them down at that.

Poor quality. This is the exact letter I sent the Steak Out My wife and I and another couple dined at your restaurant on September 7th, 2013, after a day of wine tasting. This is the second time we have used your place as the cap to a good day of wine tasting. The good day ended at the wine. To start with we ordered your buffalo wings thinking they would be cooked over the grill or at least in the oven. The taste and texture of the wing was horrible, which make since when the waitress smiled and told us they come prepared and you just microwave them. As a group we ordered 2 steaks and 2 burgers. The steaks were ordered medium rare, and the burgers were ordered med rare and medium. Every meal came med well or well done. The fries we received were burnt and tasted like the oil had not been changed in weeks. This was not what we expected and my wife and I felt so bad that we recommended the Steak Out we felt obligated to pick up the check for our friends. We will not be going back to your restaurant and we will be passing on to our friends who enjoy Sonoita to do the same.

Flat Beer. I’m relatively easy to please; however, when it comes to beer, I am a little more picky. After a day of exploring the Arizona countryside/desert, we pulled into the Steak Out for dinner and refreshments. I asked what they had on tap and after the waitress went through the laundry list of beers, decided on a Black and Tan; another waitress came by soon after and said they were out of Guinness; no biggie, I ordered a Stella as did one of my fellow travelers. Once we got the Stellas, we determined they were extremely FLAT; I choked it down and when the waitress asked if I was ready for another I told her the beer was a little flat; she said all of their beers appeared to be that way (which begs the question why were they serving it in the first place). So I asked for a Sam Adams in the bottle. She came back to inform me they were out of that. I went with the safest brew, Bud Light. They ended up having that one!I had the ribeye as did my fellow traveller; I ordered mine medium, he ordered medium rare; both steaks arrived essentially the same, a little bit beyond being medium,,,,,,probably medium well. They had some live music, a fiddler and guitar and country songs, all good. The ambiance is good.Overall not a total disaster but the beer kind of irritates me, why serve flat beer? How insulting.

Service was a little slow but the steaks were good… I would order your meat less cooked than you normally do. Steak fries were good and had the skin on…. Salsa was ok but seemed to be missing onion… Chips for the salsa were homemade and great. Live band was country and bluegrass and said that they did not play anything from the last 30 years… But they weren’t too loud and had a good sense of humor… Place seemed to fill up around 7pm and had a good atmosphere and was family friendly

My favorite place to eat!!. This is my favorite place to eat filet mignon. My fiance claims that their steak is better than Ruth Chris’s, and other friends claim that it’s the best steak they have ever had. But, it’s best to attend this place on non-holidays, due to long waits. We made reservations on Valentines Day once and we still had to wait.
