The Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale Arizona was a delightful stay for a business meeting. Although it was a quick trip I had the opportunity to eat at Alto’s for two meals. Breakfast was my standard – a bowl of oatmeal with a side of scrambled eggs. This may not be anything special, but when you eat it regularly, you can tell a difference in the quality. Oatmeal was steel-cut and the eggs must have been loaded with butter or some magic potion as they were creamy and wonderful. My colleague had the green chili and avocado omelet and it looked delicious. I did notice the breakfast potatoes were loaded with vegetables (peppers/onions) – glad I didn’t go that route as I really don’t like all the extras in my potatoes, and for that matter, my eggs. Lunch was nice as well. Southwest Ceasar with Salmon and my colleague had the quesadilla. Great flavors. I did notice the sizes of their meals are not overwhelming. The salad was in a wide dish, but not too deep and the quesadilla looked like two tacos. The only reason I’m not rating them higher is I though the prices were a bit high. I know it’s resort pricing but $9 for oatmeal and $19 for a mid-sized salad still seems a bit on the higher side. Our server Roberto was fabulous! Written by Dr.DP cinfullysimple.com

Dee-Lish. Do not leave without partaking in the proschuitto, white truffle risotto & creme brulee. Order them ALL! And take them up on the complimentary gondola ride after dinner. Wonderful singers. their voice echoes off the still lake. It’s beautiful. Also, if it’s your birthday they treat you to complimentary desserts, a coupon for a future visit & a card signed by the staff that night. Makes it a special experience.
