13 of us stopped here after a Spring Training baseball game at Salt River Flats. We were so pleased with this authentic Italian restaurant and store! We had yummy hot sandwiches (steak, pork, meatball, etc.) and salads, and pastas. All of us loved the food. Afterwards we bought cookies and chocolates to take home for later. What a find! Happy to recommend this small eatery to Italian food purists and foodies alike!

Real bad manners-very rude. If you are not one of their paisans (part of their family or go there every week) they treat you like crap. Food was good but would not go back. We waited 15 minutes for a seat and when the owner finally got up from taking up a table of 4 to sign papers for a car he was buying……. they tried to give the table to one of their good customers. We bought a bottle of wine and finished it at the restaurant and was charged $5 for a corking fee. please explain that ………………….The owner and I’m guessing his daughter who was behind the counter was real rude……….. When we left I commented on a dish that someone was eating (it looked real good) the patron said you can get the same dish to if you come here often……..WOW!!!!

Turn on the A/C! Less than comfortable. We are in Arizona after all.

This is not just a grocer. It is an amazing Italian restaurant !!! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I saw I had to order at the counter. It was awesome. They let us order what we wanted to eat. Loved the food!! Will come back.

Fantastic food, if a little on the pricey side. The antipasto plate is a great way to start, served with fresh baked bread and a simmer olive oil. The cafone sandwich was quite possibly one of the most incredible things I have ever had the privilege to eat. There was a perfectly crunchy crust over a soft, tender crumb, tart baby artichoke hearts warm provolona cheese and a delicious thin sliced ham that all came together in a way that literally made me close my eyes in ecstasy. Finish it all off with an americano and fresh cannolli, and you have one of the best lunches on earth.

Went for dinner with the kids. What an amazing place. Great casual meal with extremely high quality food. Had a salad with tomatoes and olives, and an order of grilled calamari to start. They had a wonderful selection of specials along with the menu. We had two pasta dishes from that menu. Both were authentic and so flavorful. Husband had the cannoli and he said it was excellent. All around- a winner. By the way, service was no problem. You order at the counter. They had a full house when we first arrived and we never felt ignored. Scottsdale is lucky to have this place.
