One of my favorite steakhouses in AZ. Sleek and contemporary inside and an inviting patio for al fresco dining. Recently four of us enjoyed a wonderful tasting menu by Chef McMillan with wine pairings by sommelier Jason. I’m still thinking of the sorghum and whiskey-glazed guinea hen with foie gras fried rice, on my list for top dishes of 2015. writeonrubee.com
Saturday night out. We were disappointed Saturday evening (11/24) with our meals at Bourbon Steakhouse. The Monkfish was very salty and the steaks which were ordered by most of our party of 10 were served lukewarm. We enjoyed the free appetizer, fries and dips. The house Cab seemed a bit expensive at $16 per glass.Next time our neighborhood group will look closer to home in Tempe.
HORRIBLE SERVICE, MEDIOCRE FOOD. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND DINE ELSEWHERE. THIS IS A TERRIBLY MANAGED RESTAURANT THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SERVICE OR QUALITY AND IS ARROGANTLY ALOOF AND UNRESPONSIVE.This is a terrible restaurant. I have been to restaurants the world over and amazing top rated hotels, and this Scottsdale restaurant ranks among the very worst in any city. The female server pushed food on us. I didn’t want an appetizer, and she wouldn’t let go. My husband didn’t want a side with his steak, and she wouldn’t give up. When we said we were not going to order dessert, she would not stop, became rude, and asked if we stayed out after 7:00 pm. (It was 8:00 pm when she said this.)My little grandson spilled soda on the table, and the server didn’t clean it up. My daughter had to scrub off the table. I had the tuna and the surface was coated in salt and the quality was substandard. My husband’s steak was tough. We both were sick to our stomachs the next morning.I complained to the restaurant Manager who just made excuses and did nothing. My daughter, son-in-law and grandson stayed at the Fairmount Princess in Scottsdale for an entire week and charged thousands of dollars. My daughter complained to the Hotel Manager who also was dismissive and said and did nothing. Finally, we had to pay $20 for valet parking. You cannot self park at the hotel for free and there is no other alternative but to pay the exorbitant fee in Scottsdale, a city of free parking.
