A Taste of New York. Scottsdale is a great place to live, but Casella’s Sausage & Peppers subs take me back to the NY delis I loved when I was younger and the owning family makes you feel right at home. My wife and I debate about which is better; the sausage and peppers or the chicken salad. Then a plate of pasta goes by the the aroma is tantalizing. Don’t miss this one.
Felt like part of the family. My husband and I had the honor of finding this gem last Saturday. What an experience! We loved the, family feeling of the deli.. and the food was good too!Joanna (Joe and Tina’s daughter) has been urging us to visit her parents’ deli. Thank you Joanna for the excellent lunch suggestion. Try Denise’s homemade cookes.. they are good!
I love the cheese steak with sauce & onions but the chicken salad rocks!

Casellas is spectacular..I love them all like family..Denise,Lisa,Chrissy….and of course Joe and Tina Casella. 34 YEARS APRIL.1st…by far the best Cheesesteak in the west. Get Sauce.and onion…potato salad is the bomb for sure. Hot turkey and provey…ROCKS….as does everything on the menu. Been going here since 1986, came for lunch from Saguaro hs.and always.came back..you will see me there,smiling, 6 days a week fist bumping Joe eating the best food around…..A+ rating from steven and bullseye. :-))
Casella’s Brings Back Memories…. My wife and I love Casella’s Italian Delicatessen. I remember eating at Casella’s when I was a young boy, having a turkey sub with lettuce and mayo, and even today in 2011, nothing has changed, I still have the same delicious Turkey Sub with lettuce, mayo and cheese. Simple as that, and you would almost expect the flavor to be simple right, but I assure you it’s not. The mayonnaise must be home made because it makes the entire sandwich come together perfectly. It is one of the best I have ever had, hands down. My wife and I also love the Potato Salad. The thin sliced potatoes mixed again with that heavenly mayo just taste so good! There is no other way to describe it. Just really good food for a great price, all delivered to you fresh from a local eater that has been around for over 33 years now, and still going strong. That goodness there are places like Casella’s still around.
