As a visiting chef. Expected more than, packaged frozen shrimp, frozen fries, 2 tablespoons of slaw. Bummer….should know better than to buy fish in the desert.
Looks like a fast food restaurant, but it’s pricey. However, the food is worth the money. It’s absolutely delicious! And huge portions!!! Very relaxed place. Super tasty fish. And the dressing on the cabbage is delicious. I got the Macadamia Mahi Mahi and I will definitely get it again. Would have been a 5.0 but I had to deduct because the calamari was no good (and I’m a huge fan of calamari). Still worth the visit!
Very good!. The BEST fried shrimp I have had in over a decade! Great food, friendly staff, and no microwave! Wife and I went here for the first time, we had the Coconut shrimp, and the lightly breaded shrimp. We’ve been to restaurants that charged 4 times the price, and the quality was less than half. Shrimp tasted great! Crispy, and not covered in a ton of batter. The employees were helpful, and very friendly. Cant wait to go back!
Fabulous food!. This place has amazing tacos, and their seafood pasta is pretty tasty too, as is their chowder, and… I haven’t eaten much as I usually stick with their delicious tacos, but their chowder, pasta, burger and a few sides friends have tried have been great. I really do wish they sold single tacos, as the order of 2 can be tough for one person to eat (1.5 would be perfect). They are pretty quick to get food out, the food is very fresh and the staff is friendly. Once in a while they do away with the Hawaiian music, yay! They aren’t the most inexpensive place in town, but for a fish taco you won’t find better. Every once in a while they may overcook their fish a little, but it is not very often and still much better than you would get elsewhere. Some reviews say you would get a better deal at Rubios – now I get places have an off day – but there is no comparison!! I come here often and I can say the amount of times I’ve had something to complain about is minimal. If you want the best fish taco, look no further.
The Best Fish Tacos – EVER!. I went here late one night while on a business trip in Scottsdale. They were almost closed but welcomed me in and I had the best fish tacos I have eaten. The server chatted with me while I was waiting for my meal and I learned they started in Kihei and this was their first location on the Mainland. I was impressed with his friendly manner and knowledge about the company. The fish tacos where amazing – the batter is light and not heavy. They were topped with chunks of fresh mango. The coleslaw is made with coconut milk not mayo and has a lovely flavor and is crisp and fresh. This May we vacationed on Maui and I stumbled on their Kihei location and has another wonderful meal. Try the fresh seafood salad made with Ono or Mahi and Shrimp.Coconuts is a real find – Enjoy!
Yummy! So great to have good, reasonably priced seafood in the area. I will be back!
Great!. Fish tacos and fish burger were great. Would definitely return.
