Franco’s is a favorite. Our first visit was 6 months after they opened and we’ve been going regularly ever since. Last night’s visit was another winner. We started with antipasti of prosciutto, tomatoes, sopressata, and the BEST burrata, imported from Puglia, Italy (had just arrived that day). I usually order the specials, and the caramelle pasta (shaped like caramel/candy wrappers) and the veal tartufo with tender veal smothered in a creamy truffle sauce were both fantastic. Franco sent us out a dessert plate with chocolate semifreddo, mascarpone cheesecake and my favorite, the merenghata. His grandmother’s recipe, it’s amaretto semifreddo layered with crispy meringue. I think it was Franco himself who answered my call and offered to move around a few smaller reservations to accommodate our large party. As soon as we were seated, they brought bruschetta and a meat and cheese platter on the house, knowing it was our first Franco’s experience. We asked the waiter to choose the shared pasta dishes and we all agreed it was the best pasta we had ever tasted. Our main courses were just as amazing. To top off the night, we were offered homemade limoncello and an assortment of the most delicious desserts. We were treated like family… It felt like we were dining at an old friend’s house back in Italy! I will be returning to Franco’s every time I visit Scottsdale! Thank you for the best dining experience!

We enjoyed a Lovely Dinner. I read the very good review for Franco’s in the paper so I wanted to give them a try. We were greeted right away by Mr. Franco Himself. Our waiter soon delivered an assortment of bread and very good olive oil. Besides the menu they offered many dinner specials and we both ordered specials that were delicious. Everything we had was delicious and cooked the way it should be. All the food was fresh and hot and nicely seasoned. Since it was such a home run we did dessert too and it was light and very good too. We spent much less than we normally do for this kind of meal out. We thought prices were reasonable, they also don’t kill you with high wine prices. Mr. Franco also personally thanked us for dining there.The only downsides is that this is a small busy place so you need a reservation and you have to use the $5.00 valet because they don’t have a parking lot.
