Calamari, hot and sour soup, Kung pao, Dragon and Phoenix, green beans, etc. EVERYTHING was good. Service was one of the best I’ve experienced. Will definitely come back and tell everyone I know to try this fabulous restaurant. What a wonderful place!!!
Tasty, Fun and Kung Pao 3 Seas. Thanks once again to Leslie Barrett for recommending another excellent restaurant in the Valley. George & Son’s doesn’t sound like much, but it is. It’s the best Chinese inspired restaurant we’ve been to in the Phoenix Metro area so far. The vegetable dishes, fried rice and especially the Kung Pao 3 Seas – with shrimp, scallops and the most wonderful white fish – were all excellent. The Tom Yum Gum Thai soup was light on lemon grass but strong on Thai basil and so was a thumbs up, too. We enjoyed the friendly service. The only disappointment was the sizzling calamari, which had a little too much fried batter but did have an excellent use of onions and peppers on the dish, and the Singapore Sling that was too sweet for our taste. We’ve been to the Raffles Hotel in Singapore and so we’re a bit spoiled there. Don’t let that stop you – sail away to George & Son’s and enjoy great Chinese and Asian food with a Tsingtao beer. Highly recommended.
The BEST Asian food in town. George and Son’s is hands-down the best Asian food in the Phoenix area. Everything I have tried on the menu is fantastic, but the Firecracker Calamari and Kung Pao beef are especially good. They also have some great curries. The restaurant doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the food is to die for!
So many good things onthe menu that it’shard to choose. I liked the rice noodles with shrimp and pork. The service was very attentive & friendly. Dinner for two with big leftovers but no drinks was $22 before tip. Reasonable, I think. I recommend it if you are in the Ancala area of Scottsdale.
