Bad experience. Pretty good service for dinner, but two times I have gone there for lunch have had terrible service. This last time I went there around 2:30 in the afternoon. There was hardly anyone there. I had a 4 y/o with me. Ordered lunch special of pizza and salad. Took about 40 min to get pizza with no salad. Brought salad after pizza after asking if we still wanted it. Almost everything brought out by someone other than our waiter. He did not show up again until I asked for check. He was not very friendly and had a skin condition which probably should have been covered with long sleeves. I enjoy Humble Pie pizza, but will likely not go to the Desert Ridge location in the future. Up there with one of my worst dining experiences ever.

Nothing fancy but nice place with outdoor seating perfect for business lunch. I was alone so appreciated the ample bar seating. Butternut soup was tasty but would have been better if served steaming instead of lukewarm. Veggie chopped salad delicately dressed. I liked the addition of white beans. Great express lunch values.
Poor Service, Poor Kitchen, Poor Food Quality Control. My co-workers and I had just under 90 minutes for lunch today. We arrived at Humble Pie, sat down, got our drinks, and ordered as normal for the express lunch. Literally 30 minutes later my soup came out, it was cold with no bread on the side, The server said, salads are right behind me. While she moved on to the next table, over 5 minute later the salads came out (which the rest of the table had before their pizza) two of the salads the heart of the head of lettuce, that holds all of the leaves together was inedible and in the salad. How could the person making the salads have missed that? When salads arrived I was thinking ahead I flagged down another server, and asked her to take care of my personal order and pack it to go. Approx. 20 minutes after salads the pizza came out. I explained to our server were in a bit of a hurry now and we need boxes and the check as she set down the pizzas. She asked how mine was in to-go boxes and I told her we were in a hurry and the food was coming out very slow, she snapped back at me, Well that was not my question. What I asked was… And asked the same thing again about how my food ended up I to-go boxes. So there was no quality check of the food from the server and she gives me attitude. We all put the food that just came out in to-go boxes came back to work completely stressed out and ate cold food at our desk.People behind us were seated after us, ordered after us, and finishing their food when ours arrived. I didnt think it was normal however if its so abnormal how did numerous servers and the manager not see what was happening? I sought out the other server to tell her how bad the service was from our server, she was unphased clearly didnt care. To avoid a stressful situation and unknown food quality save yourself the trouble and eat somewhere else.
Wow what an awesome little stop! It’s not very big and the seating is close together but the food is delicious and the atmosphere is fun! The hostess was not friendly at all but our great waiter totally made up for it!! 🙂 we will be back!
Like the food and menu. Service was awful on dec 22nd evening. Understaffed and hostess was not very pleasant when changed where she wanted to seat us. Obviously annoyed.
Yum. In my opinion, Humble Pie is grossly underrated in terms of quality of its pizza. The service seems hit-or-miss, but Schreiner’s pepperoni on a pizza is two steps away from heaven. Schreiner’s sausage is delicious as well. With quality ingredients on top of a pizza, there’s not much left to screw up if you get the crust right, and Humble Pie’s crust is some of the best in Phoenix. Great Happy Hour, too: can’t beat a $2.50 microbrewed pint.
