Ordered as take out. Unfortunately I think I missed out on fully experiencing the food because I did not eat in the restaurant. I am visiting Scottsdale and was dying for a fried chicken salad, after much searching, I finally found one at Karsen’s. I added chips, queso, and salsa to my order. The salad was great, salsa was delicious, and the chips seemed homemade and were quite tasty. However, the queso was filmy and chunky. I had to dig to the bottom of the container to find some that was not filmy. I was very disappointed in the queso, but the rest of the food was good.
Yes it’s small but a must see! The owner personally introduces himself at each table. Great food and staff. You wont be dissapointed!
Little skeptical at first …. Since it was so small. But, the teriyaki grilled sandwich was fantastic. My boyfriend got the grilled bologna sandwich, which is unique, but thought it was super good. The staff was friendly. I would come back. It was a very laid-back place.
