The deserts were yummy! Snickers ice cream pie and passion fruit brle were the ones I tried. Also the sea food like the snapper, sea bass and swordfish are really fresh and healthy choices. Sushi/ sushi roll is something that my colleagues tried and were happy with it.

Food above average but atmosphere is the deal. Better places for sushi if you just want food.

Great sushi. Sushi was great, loved the special rolls. Angry edamame was also good. Service was ok.

Check out the lunch special. Is there a lunch menu? After studying the menu, my daughter found a tiny little box at the very bottom of the menu, a pick two for $10 lunch pairings. Why didn’t anyone point that out since we were there at lunchtime? There are about 12 different choices; I had the sushi roll combo and the crab crunch roll and she had a the chicken chili and ? I don’t know what it’s called. Everything was okay, no wow factor. Don’t know if I’ll go back. Our server was friendly.

Great Sushi meets Great Atmosphere!. Let me start by saying I think this is the BEST SUSHI I’VE TASTED IN THE US! Ricky (the sushi chef at the Scottsdale Location) was great! I have tried about 25 different types of sushi rolls and I must say they all taste great! I was asked what I liked and the sushi chef created a sushi dining experience just for me! The sushi is really fresh and they were able to develop tremendous flavor w/ the different rolls they made. If you are not into sushi so much, Kona Grill has a great menu w/ a Asian and Hawaiian fusion twist. The crowd there is very pretty and tons of energy seems to always be in the building. I highly recommend Kona Grill and really wish the owners open up down in the Miami area.

Two words, STAY AWAY. I’ve eaten here twice (not by my choice) and both times have been incredibly bad. The first time was happy hour, my yellowtail was room temperature and fish that I specifically asked not to be seared, was seared. The server obviously didn’t care to check or say anything to the chefs. The fish that replaced my seared one had numerous small bones in it. When I pointed this out to the manager he didn’t care at all. Nothing was comp’d either. The second time I had the yellowtail sashimi platter (jalapenos and something else) it was disgusting. I could smell it while it was on the plate in front of me. I can’t believe it was even served to me. I’ve never tried the cooked food, being a raw foodist, but DO NOT try the sushi
