Very good thai. Great people, great service. I am going back again before I leave phoenix. Spicy noodles with beef was wonderful next time I will try the pad thai.
Here’s a friendly tip when diving into La’s: go easy on the spice because they don’t kid around here! But quite frankly, the tears from Thai hot made the experience all the more authentic. The pad thai was delicious and addictive. Give this place a shot, they won’t white-spice you.
To say the curry was good would definitely be an understatement. I’ve lived in areas heavily populated with Thai restaurants, and this was easily the best peanut curry that I’ve ever had. The staff was nothing but friendly and the vegetables were fresh. The place is a cozy mom and pop gem, I’m glad i found it.
To Thai for.. Definitely the best curry that I’ve been able to find in the Scottsdale/Tempe Area. Has a bold flavor, decent amount of spice, ample portion of whatever meat you choose and they include a decent helping of vegetables that seem to have absorbed the flavor of the curry. A pretty good helping of rice as well. All for cheaper than most of the other curry dishes I’ve found in the area. I had the Thai Iced Tea there too, I would recommend it. Also the Green Tea Ice Cream with a Fried Banana is a great treat for two to split if you’re out on a date. Service is polite and easy to delve into an enjoyable conversation with. There is no language barrier which is typical of many Thai joints and honestly one of my favorite parts, but La’s Thai staff are excellent. La’s Thai is top shelf Thai food at an extremely reasonable price.
The best curry I’ve ever had. I will go back again and again
I love getting takeout from La’s. My order is always ready in under 15 minutes. The Tom Kha Kai is amazing! Peanut curry with beef and Spicy Eggplant are two of my favorites as well. Very friendly employees!
I just moved into the neighborhood and was pleased to notice La’s Thai. Was glad to see the stuffed chicken wings on the appetizers, one of my favorite versions. The coconut soup was good, not the best I’ve ever had but it was still delicious. From entrees we had the spicy basil and La’s was definitely a good version of a standard Thai dish. We also ordered the Peanut Curry (panang) with chicken. Ive never had it before so nothing to compare it to but we did like it alot. The curry was a thick creamy red curry with a nice smooth peanut taste. I was worried there would be chunks of peanut in the dish like with pad Thai but that wasn’t the case. The peanut curry was awesome. The girls working behind the counter were real friendly and cute to boot.
