I ate at this restaurant last week and it was absolutely horrible! I want to start off by saying when i go to a restaurant that has over priced food i expect that price to be compensated by the food, staff and appearance. This place has the most unprofessional looking staff i have ever seen. NO ONE looks happy to be working. No one seems a day over 18, and call me vain, but not one pretty face in the building! Then i could here the harsh words of the cook/owner during my entire meal. (sitting near the kitchen) I would never suggest sitting on the patio its wire seating with NO CUSHION! I have read a few of the other reviews and i have to disagree some dishes might be good, but for how long they take to get out, they don’t taste much different then olive garden and twice the price!

Great food at a reasonable price. The only downside to Marco’s is the location isn’t the most visable, but once you’re in you’ll enjoy!

Thrilled with the whole experience. BUONISSIMO! That’s the Italian way of saying the food was amazing! We were thrilled to find this sweet little spot tucked away in North Scottsdale. I grew up on the east coast and consider myself and italian-food snob…. The ambiance & service were great, but the food is in a league of it’s own. The meatballs melted in my mouth and left me speechless: seriously, how on earth could they be so delicate and delicious? After my children told me to wait for my own meal and stop eating their spaghetti & meatballs, I ordered an extra side for myself. I was equally elated with my Pasta al’ horno, baked pasta layered with all the goodies: sausage, meat, ricotta, cheese and a bright, fresh tomato sauce… My husband had the chicken parm, a classic and the meat was juicy perfection…Love the fact that the menu is mostly organic & hormone free meat, and didnt break the wallet for a fresh wholesome and delicious family night out. Homemade awesome Italian food with a friendly owner-chef stopping at our table to say hi, Mama mia… I fell asleep last night dreaming of what I will order when I go back.

Not recommended. The service is a real problem. You had better leave plenty of time to get your food — and expect items to be missing. The advertised special is never available.

Atmosphere. As and EX employee of Marco’s, I would like to state that this was the worst job I’ve ever had. Sure working in the restaurant was fine, but dealing with Marco’s childish temper tantrums were horrible. He’s a horribly opinionated man who thinks too highly of his ‘food’. He played favorites with his employees, and always thought someone was trying to screw him over. He spoke rudely about the culinary school across the street, yet hired students from there all the time. He definatly does NOT extend his respect to his guests and employees. Wait for Marco to walk up to your table, and you’ll see how fake he actually is. This is not a bitter review (as I left on good terms)I just think people should know that you can put on a happy face, and put nice food in front of people, but it doesn’t make you a good person (or a good business owner for that matter).
