Its not inexpensive but its a dining experience not a meal.You are paying for a fantastic memory when many other places will be forgotten.I highly recommend.
I read a small article in the So Scottsdale mag.highlighting 5 romantic rendezvous in the Scottsdale area. You need to go to their website to see ALL the amazing accolades the restaurant has received! I saw the photos prior to making our reservations, we did not know what to expect before we arrived. When we did, OMG…it was so charming on the exterior, I couldn’t wait to see the interior and patio. No disappointments here, the patio is swathed in real candle lites, sml patio lites, candle lit lanterns, it was very pretty – it sparkled everywhere! Sam was our server, he is knowledgable about the menu and cocktails, and polite. To our amazement he has been in the restaurant’s employment only 3 wks! Chef de cuisine Philip and Cafe Monarch has a story of their own… the chef’s son is the business manager; wonderful to hear the family’s success story. The rest of the wait staff is quick and well mannered. It sits 50 outside and 30 indoors; it’s a small residential Ol’ Town bungalow-turned restaurant. Every single nook and cranny of this bungalow did not go to waste. Cafe Monarch only features a 4 course Pre Fixed Menu; choices for every palette: red meat, fish, white meat, vegetarian, the food is amazing and beautifully plated! EVERYTHING on it’s menu from land to the sea and everything in-between is brought in daily. I would definitely put this restaurant at the top of my Go to Restaurant list. On this night, my husband and I left with great memories. THANK YOU Cafe Monarch
