Our first visit during Restaurant Week, why we we have yet to come across here in our 17 years I do not know. Located in Lincoln Shopping Center on North Scottsdale Rd and Lincoln Dr. Plenty of available parking, in the center. Opened Mon – Sat 530p – 900p, an open dining, bar concept, decorated in western theme, the cuisine is Italian with a twist, but not the Italian you think, a nice menu selection aligning with wines by the bottle and glass. I went with the restaurant week menu which was greens, followed by pork ragu, with dessert the strawberry shortcake topped with real whipped cream. Our server was extremely helpful, and accommodating. My wife went with the smaller plates of chilled beets, duck confit fettachini. He dessert was a selection of bitter chocolate, salted Carmel, and coconut ice cream. Look forward to returning.
Great food, great service. The food is incredible, always fresh, always tasty, always wonderful. Chrysa Roberson is an amazing chef, uses only the freshest and best available, organic and local when she can, and offers a range of choices so that anyone can enjoy a meal. Occassionally they’ll have a new server that hasn’t been taught to serve and allow the patron to enjoy the food but all the long time servers know when you want something and work at your pace. The servers are friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, and never walk up to the table talking like they do at most restaurants. This is my very favorite place to eat because you can enjoy the food AND your guests at your own pace.
A must on your Phoenix dining list. Rancho Pinot never fails to deliver. The ambiance is classy, yet comfy. The service — knowledgeable but friendly. and the food? well, it speaks for itself. whether starting with goat cheese stuffed squash blossoms topped with cherry tomatoes and arugula, or eating the lamb with lemon and beans, the food is fresh, inventive and wholly satisfying.this past weekend we sat at the bar and have skilled mixologist Travis make us a prickly pear manhattan. stellar! after the above-mentioned squash blossoms, we both had the nightly special — a frisee and spinach salad, tossed in a sherry vinaigrette, with arizona lobster mushrooms, duck confit, crispy matchstick potatoes and a fried egg from Chef Chrysa Robertson’s own chickens. topped off the meal with a new dessert — a roasted banana/rum milkshake accompanied by two homemade peanut butter/chocolate chip cookies. heavenly!rancho is a well-established restaurant in phoenix, with a mostly well-established crowd. however, younger foodies from all over the valley shouldn’t keep from flocking here for the fresh, seasonal, expertly crafted food. wine list is great, cocktails are inventive and service is exactly what you would expect for an establishment of this quality.
Lost Reservation. A friend told me they had horrible service here one night but we thought we’d give it a try as we had friends coming from out of town for the weekend who saw the reviews and were intrigued. I made a reservation 3 weeks in advance because the night we wanted to eat here was Valentine’s evening. The person that took my reservation seemed in a hurry – should have been my first clue. When I called the day before to confirm, I was informed they had no reservation and had no openings of course. Don’t think they will ever get my business now.
