Great little neighborhood joint!!!

A dish of disgusting. I was told by a friend that this place had great BBQ. Well he was so very wrong. First of all I walked in and there was no one there, usually not a good sighn. My boyfriend and i orderd the dinner for two. First off the ribs were horrible. it seemed like they used the cheapest rack of ribs they could find. Plus there was so much fat on the ribs that there was barely any meat on the rack itself. We got the baked beans and coldslaw for the sides. I guess they don’t know how to cook beans properly because they were tough.. The coldslaw was ok but not great. The pulled pork was more like pulled mush, not appitizing at all. And a word of warning do not order what they pass off as apple cobbler, or peach cobbler. It was more like really horrible mushy cake over bad tasting apples and peaches. We called back and returned it for a pizza cookIe that takes 20 minutes to bake but was given to us raw. Oh and by the way this sad excuse for BBQ was overpriced. thirty something dollars later we were left shaking our heads. Hands down this was the worst restaurant i had ever been to in my life. I do not recomend this place at all
Great food!. My wife and I were in Scottsdale and looked up nearby BBQ places. We are avid home smokers and are always looking for new BBQ places. Most that we looked up were no longer in business, but Scottsdale BBQ Co was still there. Upon entering we noticed that this was a ‘no thrills’ place, no big noisy chain or gimmicks. The gal behind the counter made some suggestions since we were new, and we ordered a combo plate, with pulled pork, brisket, and chicken, with three sides and cornbread, it was $22.95 I believe. They have a nice selection of fresh brewed tea, we chose the green mango, which was fantastic. Our food was brought out to our table within about 5 minutes. I tried the pulled pork first, it was sweet and smokey, but not over done on spices. I added some of the mild and spicy BBQ sauces, which were excellent. The pulled chicken was next, very moist and flavorful. The brisket was top notch, great smoke flavor! I was happy that each type of meat didn’t have the same taste, each must have had their own rub and sauces. The baked beans were very tasty indeed, the mac and cheese was homemade, creamy and mild. The Cole slaw was tart and good (I’m not a huge fan so I can’t really judge slaw) and the corn bread was thick and meaty in texture, different than I have ever had and excellent with butter and honey. We are very happy with our experience, and insanely full, we will be back for more when the urge for BBQ returns. This is a great place and it’s always important to support your local owned small businesses!
Awesome. I fell in love with the baby back ribs at first taste. Best I’ve had in valley by far. Staff was cool and friendly. Give this place a go and don’t pass on the ribs!! ErikJust read just a dork’s post. Get a life loser!!
Error! The xhicken is as good.25 May, 2010Mmm. I think this is the best pulled pork and beef ive had! Pulled chicken was good but not as good. Absolutely will be back. No fountian drinks though only cans n bottles, but there is fresh made tea and it was very good and refillable!!! Sauce was great too. Gotta try it!
Great BBQ. Nice post just a dude, sounds like your just a ahole. You should probably just get a life instead of trying to bring others down. I’ve been there a few times a month for the past year and the bbq is always great. This place is a keeper.
