It was ok. I had never eaten here before and wanted to try the shakes especially. I honestly don’t think it was worth the amount of money we spent for the food we ended up getting. The burger was good, but also really small for $8 and a premium burger. My wife had a hot dog which was tiny for $4. I thought it would have been a massive dog at least. Then I order a small chocolate shake and it wasn’t even filled up, there was still a good amount left to fill. The shake tasted ok as well. It wasn’t a great experience for me. It was packed though and was hard to find a seat on the weekend.

Been waiting to try this place. Stopped in before going to the movies. Fries were great. Tried the chicken sandwich. The chicken was extremely crispy and juicy but lacked flavor. Not impressed with there buns at all or herbed mayo. Ordered a black and white shake which was real good. Overall not as impressed as I thought I’d be. Will come again maybe and try something different next time.

My Dad invited me to Shake Shack for my birthday. When he first went over, there were 30+ in line, but when he went back to order for us, miraculously, it cleared out! I love crinkle cut fries so I really enjoyed them. As far as the frequent comparisons to In-N-Out, I personally like the burgers better here. The bun was so soft. I am looking forward to eating here again with my husband!

The Shake Shack started as a food cart in Manhattan just over 10 years ago. Now there are over 60 locations across the U.S. This is the Valley’s first location. I have been to ones in both Boston and Chicago and have had mixed reviews. I thought I’d wait a few weeks after their opening to dine here. The service definitely wasn’t up to par. The server never smiled and looked very unhappy to be working here. He messed up twice placing my order and each time had to walk away to get a manager key (I was overcharged an extra sandwich). This place is pretty pricey. 2 chicken sandwiches, 2 shakes and an order of fries came to just under $30. My son mentioned the bathroom was trashed (his words). My positive is that the food came out relatively quick and was pretty good. The chicken was still pretty hot and tender. The fries are mediocre but the shakes are really tasty. The restaurant itself is nice looking with indoor and outdoor seating. It wasn’t too busy when we got here (Monday night), but I hear the lines can be pretty long on busy days. Thumbs up on food and speed, thumbs down on price and service. foodartandculture.com
