Worst service & FOOD EVER. I don’t know what DDD was thinking! Do not waste your time. Never have I seen such slow service for on salad that took three minutes to make.

Very good! Kind of misleading bc it’s in a gas station but do not be fooled! Meat is VERY good. Was featured on diners, drive ins, and dives. Split the brisket stacks. Loved the fried egg on top. Yummy!

Very disappointed. They were out of brisket at 4:00 on a Thursday! When delivering our 3 full slabs of ribs, they told us they were then out of ribs! The ribs were tough and not very hot. The strawberry lemonade and iced tea were not very good. The baked beans and sweet potato fries were very good. We don’t plan to return.

We heard about TomThumb’s Fresh Market on triple D. Great southern comfort food!! I got the pigs and grits, my mom got the pulled pork sandwich, and my brother got the brisket stack, and all three dishes were delectable. I love the vast selection of BBQ sauces and the down home atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Tom’s Thumb was a Colossal Disappointment. Mothers Day 2015: According to local sources, Toms Thumb offers some of the best BBQ in Arizona. Despite mixed on-line reviews I wanted to give it a shot. Needless to say I was looking forward to a hearty Mothers Day brunch and had a hankering for ribs. Surprised by the lack of patrons on Mothers Day Sunday, I quickly learned they were out of ribs…..out of ribs on Mothers Day?? According to the cashier the smoker is too small to keep up with the demand of ribs at times. So my fall back was the Brisket Stack which received a favorable review from Guy Fieri, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. The Brisket Stack which boasts a spendy at $14.00 dollar price tag for the FULL STACK was sure to satisfy my BBQ craving. My brunch companions ordered their food and we got everything on the same ticket. We proceeded outside to enjoy the balmy 75 degree weather. Much to our surprise however, the patio was unkempt and leftovers were scattered across our table. There were 2 other couples outdoors and the establishment didnt have the kind of business youd expect on a Sunday. Nonetheless, it looked like the Golden Corral after a morning blitz.10 minutes after ordering, the first dish arrived (pancakes). Much to our dissatisfaction however, we learned they were out of silverware. In addition our entrees were staggered over 28 minutes. Pancakes first, breakfast burrito about 8 minutes after that, and my FULL Brisket Stack on the 28 minute mark. Why am I keeping track of time at this point? Good question; thats what you do when you start getting impatient and frustrated with POOR service. I would probably forgive the entire experience up to this point if when my much anticipated FULL BRISKET STACK arrived, was worth the wait; It WASNT!! I rarely have a bad dining experience, almost never. I simply like food too much to truly care about service, cleanliness, and utensils. However, the culmination of events/issues including a dirty patio, lack of silverware, rib shortage, staggered meals, wait time, and general preparedness on this all important day was embarrassing. NOT as embarrassing however, as the experience I had next:Upon receiving my order I laughed out loud because I thought the server brought me the wrong plate. I was looking at what amounted to a hash brown that youd buy at McDonalds, 4 small strips of brisket (Id guess about 2.5 oz) and two eggs. Not at all what you see in the pictures, NOT EVEN CLOSE. First off, the total portion of food could be contained in a baby bowl. My waiter who experienced my disappointment explained that it was in fact the big stack and I all but called him a liar. The portion was ridiculously small and I insisted that he made a mistake. If this was the Full Stack the half stack had to be one half the size and wouldnt feed a toddler. I certainly didnt want to take out my frustration on the waiter, who was also the server, busboy, and cashier as it wasnt his fault.I was then greeted by the manager. The manager simply regurgitated exactly what the server said. He insisted this was the Big Stack and he knows this because they weigh their portions. He said it probably looks smaller because its normally served on a round plate, not a rectangular plate (apparently they were out of those too). Not satisfied with his answer I again illustrated my point with respect to the portion size by cutting it in half and said, youre telling me this is a 12 stack (which is the $9.00 version) to which he replied yes. While I was convinced I received the half stack with what appeared to be about 2.5 ounces of meat, he offered me assurance once again that EVERY portion is WEIGHED and I received 4 oz. as per policy.Recognizing my disappointment and validating some of my concerns would have been the start to a meaningful resolution. However, rather than apologizing for the minuscule portion and obvious mistake, he chose to apologize for not having silverware instead, insisting that what I was being served is the correct dish and portion size, which in my mind diminished his credibility further. There was an obvious mistake and rather than accepting accountability for it, he could only accept responsibility for the silverware. He attributed the early rush to a shortage of things like silverware, Ribs, and apparently patio support & staff. Bottom line, the price of this meal did not warrant that which was served. If you pay $20.00 for your meal (which I did) you expect something better than plastic utensils, sub par food, and a disheveled environment. As a true foodie Ill eat ANYTHING but I want to get what I paid for. Im not ready to throw in the towel but I would try a little harder to provide something worthy of your reputation. It may be worth mentioning on a subsequent phone call I placed after composing this blog, the head cook stated, when asked, that the Big Stack should contain at least 5oz. of Brisk

Barbecue at a gas station?. Don’t let the location fool you. This place has quality food and the barbecue tacos are a must.Actually all the food is excellent.Even if you don’t need gas or a car wash you must stop in and enjoy the wonderful market.
