South Scottsdale Diners Love North Scottsdale Tottie’s. Our first lunch at Tottie’s Asian Fusion 2 a few weeks back was amazing. My daughter, her boyfriend, and I loved the eclectic Asian decor, loved the fresh, delicious food, and we were impressed with excellent service. Our waiter was extremely helpful in providing us descriptions of various dishes and was personable and funny without being obtrusive. Highly recommend the Thai chicken larb – it was the first time we’d ever had larb, and we’re now addicted, plus the presentation was beautiful. Prices at lunch time are quite reasonable (portions are huge, so another meal or two at home is feasible). Tottie, many thanks for a fabulous experience – you’ve earned another customer(s) for life! 🙂
I didn’t have high expectations going in but I can now say that I look forward to going back and trying it again. The food was so fresh and very visually appealing which is a nice touch. You aee able to pick your spice level as well which I ordered the beef pad thai with med spice and it wasn’t spicy at all. The steak was super tender and the ingredients were all seperated on the plate, which made it easier to pick out anything you dont like. The waitress was friendly and attentive too.
This restaurant is one of the few that I have been to which is appropriate not only in the spice level but the true full flavor of the food. We tried the Tom Kha Gai soup, which was a beautiful balance of sweet and spice and served in a unique bowl that kept the soup hot as we had seconds and thirds. As a main dish I had the beef Panang (medium hot) and my boyfriend had the Kung Pao Chicken (hot). Both dishes were very fresh, well balanced in spice and flavor and fully satisfying. The only complaint he had about the Kung Pao was that there was a bit too much zucchini and not enough chicken. Tottie herself (chef and owner) was the one who took our order with all the charisma you would hope was in a chef but almost never is. The best part of our visit was the bartender Kenta who is a world class bartender and brings a true meaning to mixologist. His drinks are expertly done and his personality is second to none. The bartender
Disappointing. Another mediocre restaurant that people are impressed with because it has a Scottsdale address. The decor looks like they went nuts at Cost Plus World Market. The staff clearly would rather have been at home watching TV or something. The restroom door was grimy — gross! And the food was boring, dull and unimpressive. If you need to pat your ego on the back, keep going to rip-offs like this. If your ego is doing fine, save a few bucks and go to Noodle Ranch at the southeast corner of Scottsdale and Thomas… dorky name, simpler decor, MUCH better staff (nicer) and FAR better food.
Bad Service. A friend and I went for happy hour recently. The food was good but very small portions. Two of the items we ordered came with ONE lettuce leaf. Perhaps it was a garnish, but what do you do with ground chicken, other than wrap it up? Actually I think they should bump up the price a bit, and increase the size of the portions. The worst element here was the service. The asian female server (not Tottie) was pushy, not pleasant, and vanished. Thankfully a bus person became our pseudo server, and was much more service oriented. It was early in the week, but the place was empty. Its going to be a longggg summer Tottie..better step it up.
Absolutely the BEST there is!!!. Simply said, I have been all over Asia including China, Thailand, etc., and Tottie’s restaurant has the best and most authentic food I have ever eaten outside of Asia, and can stand with all the foods from over there as well. A beautifully decorated place with no equal in Scottsdale, it is comfortable but not pretentious at all. Tottie herself is a master chef and has been featured in many magazines and publications, and rightfully so. The Thai curries are unequalled anywhere. There is something for everybody no matter what you like. And, rest assured, Tottie herself will be around to be sure you are happy! A delightful experience every time and such a wonderful family feeling there. You will be back many times, I’m sure. There is no equal. FIVE STARS!!!!
Great food and drinks. I love Totties…besides the price being reasonable, the food is amazing! I also recently tried a couple great cocktails during happy hour – only 5 dollars a cocktail from 4-7…you can’t beat that!
