Try Something New.. I am currently residing in neighboring Fort Huachuca for AIT, every weekend it was the same thing; order ever-popular Pizza Hut and call it a day. But a couple of weeks ago, I finally hit the wall, I was tired of their high-in-sodium pizzas so I did some research for local restaurants in Sierra Vista, and I happened to stumble upon Vinny’s New York Pizza; I soon fell in love with their crust and even their wings. For my tenure here in Southern Arizona, I will never eat from pizza chain restaurants again.
Music. Come for the music on Thursday but not the food. I liked the pizza until last week’s tasted like spaghetti sauce. No way this place has authentic food, the spaghetti was served with linguini noodles when I ordered it. Thought I was safe with salad but the antipasto was skimpy!
Worth a shot…. I take my kids here occasionally because it’s kid-friendly. The pizza is pretty good, although not truly authentic NY style. Ingredients are good and they take their time with preparation. They have a large menu with good variety, and the service is always friendly. Prices are reasonable. It has an open air pizzeria atmosphere, but a bit larger. I wish they had wifi or some games for the kids, since they get bored quick. But the food is most important and it is worth checking out.
Had the ranch pizza and BBQ wings. I really liked it. The ranch pizza was a delihhyly delicious surprise and the wings… HANDS DOWN beat bww. Will definitely return.
The best!. We eat here every Friday night with 2 other families. We love the pizza and the wings are the best! In the winter they serve a homemade pasta fagioli soup that is amazing. All of the bread is made fresh everyday. Try the eggplant parm too. Their employees have been there forever – it’s a wonderfully run restaurant that is warm, inviting and the food is great!
We were looking to get some real NY Style pizza in Sierra Vista. You know what I am talking about, crispy thin crust, fresh cheese, spiced sauced, fresh toppings, delicious! Although the pizza here is not bad, it’s not NY pizza. The dough is closer to a deep dish pizza. The toppings were good to include the pesto. Overall not bad but not what I was looking for. Staff was very friendly and it had a fun pool hall type atmosphere.
Excellent EVERYTIME!. Our table shared pizza, subs, wings and salad. Everything was fantastic. We especially loved the eggplant sub made on fresh homemade bread. Thanks Vinny for putting your heart and soul into your place. It’s shows.
