Very Good Tiny B.Y.O.B. Bistro. We started with Risotto Cakes with preserved lemon that came with fennel cilantro aioli. For dinner we had the Barramundi served with Crayfish Fondue and the Smoked Pork Chop with Savory Apple Bread Pudding in a Cider Reduction. Everything was prepared perfect. The desserts at Amuse Bouche are Outstanding and this time I also had the Pot de Creme and I can vouch for their bread pudding because I had it before and it might have been the best bread pudding I ever had anywhere.I always like coming here because nothing is ever over cooked or under cooked and they use high quality ingredients and this is also one of the few places that bakes you fresh hot bread with your dinner. This place is super tiny I think I counted seven tables so you need a reservation or you won’t get in. It’s also a B.Y.O.B. so you also need your own wine. They charge three dollars a person Cork Fee.
Consistently Excellent!. We have been to Amuse Bouche several times for dinner. The food is always exceptional and the service friendly and professional. We splurged this morning and tried the breakfast. By far, some of the best food we’ve ever had!!!
The best in the west valley!
Gave it a fair shake. We tried Amuse Bouche 2 times, because we wanted to be fair. The first try, the food was good, nothing special. The service was barely adequate. Once we were seated, it took quite some time to get any drinks, and a lengthy wait for food. Once food was served, we never saw the waiter again, until we’d been sitting for 15 minutes or more with empty plates. No refills on our water, no checking in. Given all the positive reviews from newspapers, we thought maybe we hit a bad day. Tried again. Same issues, only worse. Service was barely adequate, and the food was ok. Nothing special. Under seasoned. It could have been a great restaurant, it just isn’t.
Would go back to try something different. Had an okay french dip sandwich and salad. I think I would have enjoyed it more in a better location – strip mall/asphalt views. Heard great things about their breakfast/brunch and would go back to try. I wish we had been more adventurous with the menu.
Don’t believe the hype!! This French style bistro drew me in for lunch Saturday afternoon with words like ‘gourmet’ on their banner outside. The staff was very friendly and their concept is very appealing, with dishes like cream of green chili soup, tomato and goat cheese soup, sandwiches and panini’s on their very limited menu but, the execution of these dishes is disappointing after a great review from the Phoenix newspaper. I had the American style meatloaf sandwich with a large piece of all beef loaf, comes with bacon and aioli. Wow, sounds great right? Could have been the best sandwich ever.. But, saying under seasoned would be an under statement. Maybe they ran out of salt. Maybe a bit of toasted cumin here would be good. The sandwich had nothing going for it. No texture, a little carmelization in the loaf would have made all the difference, a piece of lettuce or even better, napa cabbage for a bit of crunch. Then there’s the bread.. Boring oat bread. Come on! The aioli was fantastic . Tomato soup fell flat with no seasoning, also. Would have loved to voice my opinion but, they were not interested.. U hear the breakfast is out of this world but, if you can’t do a meatloaf sandwich, I don’t think I will go back.. Hope this review is helpful to you and the chef at restaurant . Thanks
Will never step foot in this establishment again…the staff was rude and service was appalling. This after waiting almost two hours for a table and being ignored. Worst was seating others from off the street before us.
