Service issues. Went last night with a party of four, and the waiter was quite jovial in welcoming us. However, he was not attentive to my order, and realized today that he delivered the wrong order. I asked for the chopped Gorgonzola salad, and to leave off the mozzarella as I felt the Gorgonzola would be fine with the chicken, the fruit and the walnuts. As I was eating the salad, was puzzled by the flavors as they were not what I expected, and couldn’t find any fruit or nuts as specified in the menu. When I mentioned this to the server, he said the balsamic vinaigrette must be affecting my taste. I brought the remainder of the salad home, and found that the salad did include Gorgonzola and chicken, as well as salami and pepperoncini. Wish the waiter had been more interested and responsive instead of dismissing my question; a simple check to look at the salad and he would have known that I had been given the chopped chicken salad instead of the one I requested. The other orders were fine, just very disappointed with mine….
Always Delicious. For people that may be driving past Babbo Italian Eatery and wondering if it’s any good – the answer is yes, and you should find out for yourself. We have been here a number of times, probably about a dozen, and have never had a bad experience. The staff is great, the meals are delicious and plentiful – what more could you need? There are a bevy of choices when it comes to pasta options, I tend to lean toward the Curried Chicken and Pear Pasta, but have tried a number of entrees. The bread is great with a nice olive oil and vinaigrette, and I would recommend the Firecracker rolls for an app.
Nice to have in Surprise. Love the spring mix salad! Focacchia and oil dip is always nice. We keep going back.
Not a good experience. The only good thing at this restaurant was the bread. My pasta was terrible, I ordered the tomato basil mozza – it was so salty I didn’t even eat it. My daughter didn’t eat her meal after – at the end the waitress saw 2 full bowls and asked if we wanted boxes – we said no thank you and she cleaned them up. She didn’t even ask us why we didn’t eat our meals! We will not be back, should have gone across the parking lot to Macayo’s
Tasty delicious food! I usually get the creamy garlic chicken and it is always fantastic. The bread they serve you is so yummy, I can just eat that the whole night with the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar mixture they serve with the bread. My husband tries something different every time we go and he always enjoys his meal. The only bad thing I can say is the wait and the service. They start getting busy around 430pm, seeing that they are a lot of senior citizens that live in the area and they like dinner early. When you go anytime after 430pm be prepared to wait for a table or booth and the servers are fast but they are very busy so service might be lackluster after 430pm as well. I would recommend this place.
