Dinner hidden prices. Cant beleive iwent here twice. Dumb Move. My neighbor was telling me about getting shafted at a place and itwas the same place. Funny ! Burrito about 6 dollars al acart. Cheese on top 7 dollars extra. Happened twice, in 3 years how stupid. I forgot I had been there until I got the bill. Oh yea,,, this place.
The wife and I ate dinner here and had a good experience. We ordered the fried green tamales for an appetizer. They were great!! The only problem is that they came out with our entree’s. Aren’t appetizers supposed to come out first? I ordered the baja pork enchilada (or something like that). They were pretty good. My wife ordered the BBQ chipotle tacos. They were great. They came with 2 tacos, I ate 1 of them. The food was good, the server acted like he didn’t want to be there. I was happy with our meal.
Not one of my favorite places. Bland Mexican food.
$2.00 for a tablespoon of Guac.!!!. Four of us went to Macayos for dinner last Friday. The $1.65 marg. were great. The $6.50 Chimi dinner was also good. The chips and several varieties of Salsa were hot and fresh. Whats the problem??? The sneeky way the servers get you to spend an extra $2.00 for the Guac. They don’t even mention a charge when they offer it to you. It’s like asking do you want salsa or cheese with your tacos. The markup on a tablespoon of Guac. must be at least 300%. I consider this a deceptive practice and share it with you only as a warning. Otherwise the restaurant is fine. In this day and time, I personally don’t have an extra $2 in my pocket to throw away.
Quick decent food. My hubby and I always share a combo platter and an appetizer. Cheap and plenty of food. I gotta say though, we have NEVER gotten a server here that was nice or friendly. I am thinking its a bad place to work because no one there is happy.
It was very good. Me and my parents went for lunch they got the baja pizza and i got the chimichanga which was very good. Large margaritas and good fresh squeezed limonade. Good chips and salsa. Our waitress was very nice but some were not. Very brightly colored and inside!
I love macayos!!!! One of the best mexican places in Arizona. The food is great the staff is awesome.
