First trip… last trip. Stood at an empty front area waiting to be seated for 12 minutes. Strike 1. Read menu, put it down, read menu, put it down, read the menu again and set it down again. Waited another 8 minutes before waitress came over. Strike 2. Food came out. Had fried shrimp that came straight out of a box. The worst shrimp I have ever had. Food aweful and I wished I would have gone to a fast food place for better food. Strike 3. Finished crappy meal and asked for check. Waited, waited, waited but no check. Finally I decided to get up to go to the front door and my waitress comes with the check. Strike 4. It wasn’t a busy time, there were many staff members but the service was crappy (and that is generous). For those who thinks this is an example of good food has really missed out in life. One would be better picking up a frozen dinner and serve yourself with a smile. Both food and service would be better.
Five of us met for lunch and we all had something different and all of us enjoyed our meals. I had a Frisco Burger, my wife had Parmesan Chicken, the other three had a half sandwich combo with salad, Chinese Chicken Salad and Coconut Shrimp. We were all very happy with our food and except for the server not splitting the check before bringing it, which she rectified, our service was also very good. Lots of choices on their menu, something to please anyone. All of us would come back.
Up and down. I really like claim jumper and the food is great, but it is a 50/50 chance whether the service is going to be good. I have been to this location in Tempe twice and one time the service was good and the second time I took my collegues there and the service was terrible, we had to wait almost an hour for our food and it was not correct.. just not a good experiance at all.
The food is always delicious! It’s a bit pricey but worth every penny. I recommend the potato chedder soup in the sourdough bread bowl and meatloaf. You will not be disappointed
Characteristically bad service. I have been to 3 Claim Jumpers in 2 states and they all have one thing in common, bad service. The food is Ok but the service just brings everything down. What a pity.
Is this your dining utopia?. Is bitter stringy, crust falling off into your lap your idea of great onion rings? Do you enjoy water thin with carrots and French fries in you potato cheddar soup? How pleasurable do you find greasy fish tacos, that the taco shell was the grease blotter to you? If you appreciate that your lettuce left the Viagra on the shelf then this salad is worthy of your adoration. Is a delectable side of corn bread that tastes like French rolls, with the same texture as a stale corn bread loaf your example of delicious, then this is the ultimate treat for you? Then, by all means salivate at the thought of fine dining at the Claim Jumper on Baseline in Tempe. By the way you even get the opportunity to wait an hour for this superb dining experience.
Only good for dessert. The food is just alright. People watching is kind of funny. Lots of overweight people enjoy this place no offense. The portions are very large. The best and only good part about this place is the chocolate chip calzone. *i die*
